Vodafone are set to re-enter the US market as a MVNO running on the T-Mobile network. The network, who sold their large chunk in Verizon back tot he company for $130 billion, is not focusing on consumer and will instead cater to hundreds of multinational customers based across the pond. The announcement comes via a press release published online and identifies that Vodafone is only interested in catering to large companies with a global presence (at least for now). The introduction of the Vodafone MVNO will also cater to more than 500 existing Vodafone enterprise customers who have a "strong US presence". Vodafone - who recently extended their UK 4G roaming offer to 40 countries around the world - will use its existing global network, which spans across 27 countries and 75 networks, to appeal to global businesses with products and services offered targeted towards enterprises. These products will include security, encryption, telecommunications expense management and cloud services (presumably including remote backup, restore and wipe of handsets). The Vodafone US MVNO will launch in late Autumn 2015 and a successful network could yet see the company expand the MVNO's offering to target consumers (although this is rather unlikely given the euphoria of Vodafone shareholders ...

When you're buying from the Apple Online Store in the UK (and the US), there's a range of ways to pay but Apple have decided to make it even easier by enabling support for PayPal payments. PayPal is considered a must-have payment option by many users as it makes the process much simpler by not requiring you to enter your payment information and now you'll not only be able to buy items from Apple but you can also spread the cost. That's right - rather than opt for spreading the cost using Apple Financing, there's now also the option to use PayPal Direct. To qualify for this offer, you'll need to spend over £99 (UK) or $250 (US) and Apple will let you spread the cost of your item into equal monthly payments deduced direct from your PayPal account. The choice to allow PayPal payments could be a move by Apple to introduce internet-savvy shoppers to its Apple Pay payment option. It could also be a simple move to entice more users to do their shopping at Apple's website as opposed to other retailers who might accept PayPal. Either way, if you've got money sitting in your PayPal account, you can now ...

Expecting to wait until December 18th for the Galaxy Note Edge to become available in the UK? As we've already heard, the wait is over as the handset is available from Carphone Warehouse but now Vodafone UK have also launched the handset (albeit only in black). If you're interested in buying the Galaxy Note Edge from Vodafone UK, the handset certainly won't be cheap. The 'recommended' price plan will cost you £58.50 per month with a £49 upfront charge which will give you unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 10GB 4G+ data each month but if you'd rather not pay anything upfront, the same deal is available through Carphone Warehouse without the initial charge. There's a range of other plans available but given the niche-status of the Galaxy Note Edge, the plans are certainly expensive. As we've previously covered, buying the Note Edge on a Vodafone 4G contract will also give you access to either Spotify Premium, Now TV from Sky or Sky Sports Mobile TV as an inclusive benefit. Furthermore, customers buying the Galaxy Note Edge on a Vodafone Red 4G plan will also receive a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies Pass - which offers access to over 1,000 movies on-demand and streaming ...

The biggest trend in mobile over the past few years has been the move to even bigger displays with users eager to consume even more on a single display. Samsung were arguably the founders of this trend with the Samsung Galaxy Note back at IFA 2011 but since then, almost every company has introduced phablets to try to attain the same success (including Apple with the iPhone 6 Plus). Chinese manufacturer Huawei pose one of the biggest threats to Samsung's dominance at the top of the smartphone market but how does the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 compare to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4? The Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7 inch Quad HD (2k) Super AMOLED display whilst the Ascend Mate 7 sports a 6 inch Full HD IPS display. Samsung are the world leaders in display technology and this shows with the Galaxy Note 4 display offering the best experience on any modern smartphone. With 515 pixels per inch density, the Note 4 is super sharp whilst in comparison, the 368 pixels per inch density offered by the Mate 7 is less sharp (albeit still impressive). The Ascend Mate 7 might be a little larger than the Galaxy Note 4 but ...

Android tablets in the 7-8 inch space are a dime and a dozen. In fact the small tablet category is practically being dominated by these Android running machines and the fact is that we are approaching a level of homogeneity in terms of specifications too. With that in mind, it is becoming increasingly hard for an OEM to differentiate its product from the deluge of competitors out there. Enter the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2. With a very unique take on design, quality hardware and a polished build of Android on board, it has the potential to be the tablet of choice for many users but is it perfect? We take an in-depth look in our review. Hardware Lifting the tablet out of the box, the first thing you'll notice is the cylindrical tube on one end of the tablet. The cylinder packs the battery as well as the kickstand mechanism. While the rest of the fascia has a black bezel, this kickstand enabled end gives the impression that the tablet is predominantly meant to be used in the landscape orientation. We'll be talking more about general usability further down the review. On the face of it, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 is a handsome looking ...

Google Now to soon add Nest thermostat support

Google Now will soon allow users to control their Nest thermostat. The virtual assistant will simply require a command to change the Nest thermostat setting. With a command like Ok, Google, set the temperature to 65 degrees”, Google Now will try and complete the task. The temperature requests are displayed in your Google Now card when the thermostat is cooling or heating your home. However, at present the virtual assistant cannot complete your temperature requests as it requires your Google account authorization to work with the Nest device. Currently as soon as you give the command, Google Now takes you to a page setup but when you tap "Yes, I am in", it redirects you to a page that is still not active. Google had acquired Nest in January this year and unveiled a new "Works with Nest" program that will allow smart devices to work with Nest products. via
