Apple hasn’t shared any details about repairing the iPhone with third-party repair shops and the folks at iFixit are not happy about it. The teardown experts weren’t satisfied with the proprietary pentalobe screws the Cupertino giants use in their iPhones. Once you remove the back panel, you get to see the 1,810mAh battery, which is one of the easiest parts to remove. You can also remove the display assembly without having to break a sweat. The company is now set to roll out a budget Android smartphone, which is believed to have a 2,000 INR ($32) price tag. The yet-unnamed phone will come before Diwali, so it gets its due share of footage during the festive season. The device will have a 3.5-inch display, and that's all we know about it yet. Like the Jivi JSP 20, it'll most probably be a 320 x 480 pixel unit. "We are looking forward to launch our Rs. 2,000 smartphone and few other devices before Diwali and intent is to double our sales by the end of this calender year", said Rupinder Singh, VP, Datawind Executive A lot of companies have been ...

Google and Airtel are in talks to bring carrier billing in India, according to a latest report from The Economic Times. The carrier billing support will allow Android users to pay for apps, in-app purchases and other content through their service provider instead of other mode of payments like credit or debit cards. The move will increase the purchase of paid apps in India where credit card penetration stands at mere 2 percent. This in turn will benefit app developers and content creators to garner further revenue. The report further said that Google and Airtel are discussing over the revenue sharing terms where the former is demanding for 90 percent of the revenues. Earlier in May, Google expanded carrier billing by adding PayPal support. India is a place where handful of people use credit card payments owing to security reasons. Hence, paying for online shopping through a monthly phone bill is more viable option to many users in the country. Google Play direct operator billing is currently available in a total of 26 countries via 51 telecom operators. via:The Economic Times
