We have been comparing the ASUS Fonepad with various small tablets here at our labs. We recently compared it with the Galaxy Note 8.0 aka Note 510 and found it quite different from the latter. Lets quickly go through the similarities and differences then. Design wise, the fonepad is very much a metal Nexus 7, which is highly similar, even in dimensions. The Galaxy Tab 2 310 on the other hand, looks like a previous generation Samsung, with its traditional design. Both have rounded corners and curved sides, which makes it blunt and easier to hold in both landscape as well as portrait.
Coming to dimensions, both are very similar, with the Fonepad coming in at 10.4mm, and weighing 340g while the Tab 2 310 is 10.5mm thick and weighs 345g.

Panasonic has just sent over press invites for its launch event on 16th May where the company plans to introduce a brand new smartphone in India.
Reports suggest that the company is working on introducing a completely new range of phones that are more suited to the Indian market. Previously reported by BGR and backed by our own sources, it seems Panasonic will be going down the ODM route to outsource the actual manufacturing to a third party. This new model is expected to be replicated in additional and especially emerging markets depending on its success in India. Panasonic hasn't really cracked the international smartphone market but is quite popular in Japan. India on the other hand will be getting completely new phones that will aim to make its mark in the budget to mid range Android smartphone segment as part of Panasonic's portfolio.
Xolo has officially launched the Q700, the company's second quad-core Android smartphone in the Q Core series. Xolo launched the Q800, the company’s first phone with a quad-core processor back in March. The Xolo Q700 surfaced online recently. It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color capacitive touch screen IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589W-M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor and 720p HD video recording and a 0.3 (MP) VGA front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and packs a 2400 mAh battery.

Micromax A111 Canvas Doodle that leaked last month is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 5.3-inch capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. It comes with a Stylus, pre-loaded Evernote app and a free flip cover. Asus Transformer AiO Hybrid tablet is finally coming to India. Asus has just sent over a press invite for the Transformer AiO launch event on 22nd May 2013 in India. The Transformer AiO all-in-one PC with a detachable tablet was unveiled earlier this year. It is actually a desktop PC with Windows 8, powered by a 3rd generation Intel Core processor with NVIDIA GT 730M graphics. It seamlessly switches into a self-contained tablet running Android 4.1 with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor at the touch of a button. Nokia handed out metallic press badges when we got in here , which is pretty interesting considering the fact that the Catwalk leaks have been pointing towards a metallic phone running Windows Phone and packing some impressive camera features.
At an event in London, Nokia has just announced its next Lumia phone. Called the Nokia Lumia 925, it provides the features of the Lumia 920 in a slimmer shell. The phone has a metal band running around the body of the phone. The back plate ships in two colors, silver and grey. Over at the back you can spot an OIS capable camera at the back of the phone with an LED flash.
To build on the camera experience, Nokia has added in a new camera lens that tacks on a range of new features. It can take 10 images at one click for powerful new creative possibilities, such as Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus. This camera app will be rolled out to the entire Nokia portfolio via an update called the Nokia Lumia Amber update. The phone doesn't support wireless charging internally but will be compatible with charging covers.

We are live from the Nokia Lumia 925 event in London, and Nokia just announced, along with the Lumia 925 that Hipstamatic, a popular photo sharing app on iOS, is coming to Windows Phone and it is going to be one of the first official apps on the Windows phone store that can share directly to your instagram account. The app is called Hipstamatic Oggl and has various filters and a beautiful camera UI, with features you would expect from a photo filters app. This app recently launched in iOS and it is now on Windows Phone already. It has its own community and that's the term "Oggl" refers to, you can share, like and comment on pictures.
The Hipstamatic Oggl app for Windows Phone 8 will be available for all Nokia Lumia devices running Windows Phone 8, right from the lowly 520 to the now flagship, the Lumia 925 and of course, the predecessor, the Lumia 925. The app will reportedly also be available as a Windows Phone 8 camera lens.

During the Lumia 925 launch event, the Finnish smartphone manufacturer announced an upcoming Lumia exclusive firmware update. Called the Windows Phone 'Amber' update, it will bring features that have been lying dormant in the phone.
All Nokia Lumia phones will get support for FM Radio except for the Lumia 620 which lacks hardware support for it. The update builds on the Windows Phone GDR2 update to Windows Phone 8 and bundles in a range of camera improvements. Additional features include double tap to wake which was first seen on the Nokia N9. Nokia says that the update will roll start rolling out in July and will be available across the entire Lumia Windows Phone 8 product portfolio.
Nokia introduced the Lumia 925 at an event in London just now. At the event Nokia introduced the Smart Camera, a new app that would come pre-loaded on the Lumia 925. Nokia has also announced that the app would also come to select Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices. The Smart Camera lets you shoots a sequence of photos, making it easier to capture great moments, choose your Best Shot or combine the photos into one picture, make a strobe effect to emphasize motion, remove unwanted objects or choose the best faces for great group shots.

The Nokia Lumia 925 just launched at an event in London today, with a sleek aluminium design and a few software improvements for the camera. The 8.7 megapixel camera-toting Lumia 925 is almost similar to the Lumia 920 in terms of specifications, but the design, now with the aluminium build has changed a lot. We were at the event live, while the phone was announced, and now, we have got some hands on time with the device. Presenting to you, the photo gallery of the Lumia 925, straight from the show floor.
Compared to the Lumia 920, the Lumia 925 is thinner and weighs lesser at 8.5mm of thickness and 139g in weight.
The front of the device is adorned by the 4.5 inch OLED 1280x768 display, which is mighty different from the 920 in terms of colour saturation and viewing angles.
As you can see above, the display on the Lumia 925, which is the same as the one on the Lumia 928, has a brighter tone to it.
Even when the display is switched off, the device looks very slick.

Over at BlackBerry Live in Orlando, CEO Thorston Heins just unveiled the brand new BlackBerry Q5, a BB10 device with a QWERTY keyboard aimed at the budget-minded mass market. The device comes in various colours like red, white, black and pink. It is all set to launch this summer in various emerging markets. The BlackBerry Q5 was previously known or codenamed the R10, and it looks very much like a Q10 with vibrant colours in matte plastic.
The BlackBerry Q5 has a 3.1 inch touchscreen, which is the same size as the Q10. BlackBerry has revealed that it is going to sell the Q5 starting July in markets like Africa, Asia and Latin America.
