The company will launch its new LED TVs in the country through the e-commerce market space with an exclusive licensing agreement so it should be either Flipkart or Amazon.in.

WhatsApp is rolling out a new beta update for Android bringing the much-talked locked audio recordings feature. The latest beta update brings the app version to 2.18.102. For locked audio recordings feature, you will have to tap the “mic” icon in the chat and, after 0.5 seconds, WhatsApp will show the lock microphone button.
Once you see the 'lock microphone button' you will have to slide up your finger for enabling the lock recording. Once you have locked the audio recording, the U.I again lets you navigate back to the chat without holding the microphone button. WhatsApp in the next releases could enable option to listen to your voice message before sending it.
Another interesting feature that will be added in the next release is the ability to see the size of a specific stickers pack before downloading it. The locked audio recording feature will be soon available to iOS as well, but for now, it is only available for Android. Previously in order to record voice messages, you had to tap and hold the recording button until you are done with the recording, which wasn't very convenient.

Apple just confirmed that the Mac Pro machines will find their way into the market only in 2019 which might come as a let down to those who were hoping to see a Pro machine sometime this year. HMD Global announced the new Nokia 6 Android One smartphone at the MWC, which was launched in India earlier this week. Today the company has started selling the smartphone across the country. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by Snapdragon 630 Mobile platform, runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo), has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, ZEISS optics and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Samsung has posted its earnings guidance for the first quarter of 2018, which reveals that it will post an all time high 15.6 (15.5 ~ 15.7) trillion Korean won ($14.6 billion approx.) in operating profits for the quarter, 57% up from a year earlier. This will beat the 15.15 trillion won ($14.13 billion) profit that it had posted in Q4 2017.
The main reason for jump in profits is likely to be due to strong memory chip sales that is said to have contributed some 11 trillion won, while the Galaxy S9 sales along with the Galaxy Note7 could also be one of the reasons for the boost in profits in the mobile sector.
Samsung is expected to continue its profit streak in second quarter from continued high demand for semiconductors and sales of the Galaxy S9 series. In the first quarter, revenue will rise about 18.6% from a year earlier to 60 (59 ~ 61) trillion Korean won, says Samsung's forecast.
Samsung did not announce the performance of each business division. We should know the exact profit amount and division-wise results when Samsung releases its full earnings results later this month.

Google has finally started enlisting users to beta test for a data-only calling option on the Google Voice. Wi-Fi calling lets you reduce roaming charges when you’re on the go, stay connected when you have poor cell service and the ability to make calls from any device or from the web.
For now, it is only available on mobile and the web, but iOS support will be available soon, says Google. Since it is in beta, incoming call recording or transfer options when you switch on data are not available. Bluetooth controls like answer or hang up are also missing. You won't be able to use earpiece mode when a Bluetooth device is paired and there is also chance that your calls might be dropped if you try to switch between Bluetooth and speakerphone.
Google says that calls use approximately 0.2 MB of data per minute but might vary depending on available bandwidth and network quality. Since it in beta testing phase, users those who wish to try it out will have to fill up the sign-up form and update your Google Voice app.

Apple is rolling out next major update to Final Cut Pro which brings features ProRes RAW and advanced closed captioning. The ProRes RAW feature combines the visual and workflow benefits of RAW video, while the advanced closed captioning tools allow video editors to easily view, edit and deliver captions from right within the app.
The ProRes RAW is a new format where editors can import, edit and grade pristine footage with RAW data from the camera sensor, that gives ultimate flexibility when adjusting highlights and shadows which is ideal for HDR workflows. It is optimized for macOS and editors can also play full-quality 4K ProRes RAW files on MacBook Pro and iMac systems in real time.
ProRes RAW files are even smaller than ProRes 4444 files, so editors can also save storage. Users can also work natively with ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ files created by Atomos recorders. The format will be available as a free update for owners of Atomos Sumo 19 and Shogun Inferno devices.

The Indian City Patna is now the top city in terms of 4G availability beating major tech hubs like Hyderabad, Bangalore, etc. according to the latest OpenSignal report. Patna has 4G availability of 92.6% while Bangalore comes in at 10th place with 88.3%. The report states that the 4G availability between India’s cities is getting slimmer.
There are a total of 20 cities the measurements, and all of them have achieved 4G availability of over 80%. Patna is followed by Kanpur, Allahabad, Kolkata, Bhopal, and Lucknow. Tech hubs in the south and west of the country continued to dominate the top to hold their position in top ten 4G speed metric. OpenSignal says that it believes other cities will soon close the gap in terms of 4G speed in coming months as operator network rollout accelerates.
Earlier Navi Mumbai secured its place as the fastest 4G speeds in India with an average 4G speed of 8.72 Mbps, while Chennai secured the second place with nearly 8.52 Mbps speed. Last month live images and video of the upcoming flagship LG smartphone surfaced from the MWC 2018 as G7 (Neo). Now the first image of the LG G7 ThinQ with the model number LM-G710M has surfaced in live images, which is said to be in early testing phase in the US. This coincides with earlier images and shows the top-notch. Earlier this week @evleaks said that the G7 will be released as G7 ThinQ, after the V30 ThinQ that was introduced at the MWC 2018.
The phone running pre-release software is said to have scored 252,473, on par with other Snapdragon 845-powered smartphones.
Latest report from Korea said that the phone will feature a dedicated A.I button on the side of the device, falling in line with the recently leaked rendered images. This A.I button will let users easily access the phone’s AI capabilities including Google Assistant and LG’s own Q Lens and Q Voice.
The phone is said to come with f/1.5 aperture, inline with the Samsung’s Galaxy S9 flagship. Having widest aperture allows more light to enter the camera and reach the sensor.

Airtel today announced that it will deploy Massive MIMO Pre-5G technology across IPL match venues, making sure that its customers continue to enjoy superfast data experience on Airtel 4G when they watching the match. Massive MIMO expands existing network capacity by five to seven times over existing spectrum, thereby improving spectral efficiency.
"Customers will be able to experience superfast data speeds on Airtel’s 4G network despite the very large number of concurrent users on the network sites at the venue," said Airtel.
Airtel will deploy the Massive MIMO solution in IPL match venues in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mohali, Indore, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Chennai. The first venue to go live with Airtel’s Massive MIMO deployment will be the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai where the first match of the IPL will be played tomorrow, April 7, 2018.

Uber India has announced that is has started rolling out payment authorization hold feature that allows Uber to authorize hold your upfront fare amount before your trip begins for non-cash credit and debit card payment method for every trip requested. Uber says that this is to confirm that a user’s account is active and available to fund their trips.
How does this work?
When you request for a ride, a temporary authorization hold is placed on your chosen payment method, for the upfront price of the trip.
This will show up as a “pending” charge on your account.
If the account balance of your credit or debit card linked to the rider's account is lower than the fare estimate, the authorization hold will fail. You will need to choose a different payment method or add a new payment method to your Uber account in order to request a ride.
When the trip completes, this hold is converted to a charge for the final trip fare. Your bank may send you one or more SMS’ to notify you of both the hold and the actual charge.

LG posted record profits of 921.5 billion won (US$ 798.3 million), up 82.4% YoY in Q1 2017. The company today released preliminary earnings results for the first quarter of 2018 which shows operating profit of 1.1 trillion won (US$1 billion), up 20.2% year-on-year, marking the highest first quarter revenues and operating profit in the history of the company and highest quarterly operating income in nine years.
It expects revenues of 15.1 trillion won for the quarter, up 3.2% compared to 14.66 trillion won in the same quarter last year. This is less than 15.4 trillion won estimate by analysts.
Increase in profits is expected to be due to strong sales in OLED TVs and premium home appliances, but the mobile phone division is not expected to post profits, same as the the past few quarters, but analysts predict the the division is expected to post smaller loss than the previous quarter.

Earlier this week Xiaomi's Black Shark confirmed the announcement of Black Shark gaming phone will be announced on April 13th and also confirmed that Xiaomi has invested in the company. Today the company has released the first teaser image of the phone that reveals a metal frame and green colored power button.
Another image that highlights the design of the phone says that it is the first phone with "X" antenna design where there are antenna cut outs for GPS, WiFi and LTE on all the corners.
The company already confirmed Snapdragon 845 SoC of the phone. Earlier rumors revealed 8GB of RAM, Android 8.0 Oreo and 2160 x 1080 FHD+ 18:9 display for the phone. The phone is rumored come with a 120 Hz display to compete with the Razer Phone.

After retracting messages sent by Mark Zuckerberg from the recipients’ inboxes, Facebook confirmed that it would soon let everyone unsend messages and is already considering how to build this product. However, the ability won't be coming anytime and might take several months. The company also clarified that it would no longer retract messages of executives until the feature is available to everyone.
Facebook never really informed users or to the public for that matter regarding the retractions of the CEO’s chats. However, Facebook has now confirmed the news to TechCrunch after contacting Facebook with evidence of messages that have since disappeared. With the company confirming the feature of an unsend button, it dampened the backslash it received by making Zuckerberg look like a beta tester of the function.
However, Facebook didn't disclose any timeline as to when the feature will be rolling out or how it is planning to implement the unsend feature. According to TechCrunch report, the possible solution is giving an option to the sender to set a timer, and once it runs out, the message will vanish from both inboxes much like how Zuckerberg's messages were retracted.
