Vivo at an event in China recently introduced the AI-Powered Super HDR in an aim to take the mobile photography to a new level. With the Super HDR’s auto scene detection, it promises clearer photos, better colors, more details and better tones.
The Super HDR follows the same principles as regular HDR, however, it merges more frames to resolve the problems presented by contrasting strong dark and light tones in a photo. Super HDR captures more frames and intelligently merges them to cater to more extreme lighting scenarios. The dynamic range can reach up to 14 EV and can capture up to 12 frames and perfectly light all the parts of the photo.

March 31st was the deadline for linking Aadhaar card with mobile numbers and bank accounts. Today Supreme Court has extended the deadline indefinitely until it delivers a verdict on the validity. The move comes after several petitions were raised challenging the validity of the Aadhaar Act.
The five-judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra on March 7th said that it is not possible to address the petitions against the constitutional validity of the Aadhaar Act by March 31st. However, A K Sikri, A M Khanwilkar, D Y Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan who are also the bench members earlier said that any last minute extensions would have implications on financial institutions, like banks and stock exchange.
The government of India had made it mandatory to link Aadhaar with welfare schemes, other essential services like banking and phone, saying that it was necessary to eradicate any benami deals and black money. Back in December, apex court made it mandatory to link aadhar card and extended the date till March 31st.

Apple just announced that its 29th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) for this year happens from June 4th till June 8th. This time it is holding the event at McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, which is the same venue as last year.
The company would reveal about the future of iOS and OS X at the event, including iOS 12, macOS 10.14, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12 updates. A recent reports said that Apple will integrate Animojis into FaceTime, bring tabs for iPad apps with iOS 12.
Earlier report said that Apple will delay some of the major features to 2019 and mainly focus on performance and stability in iOS 12. Apple is also rumored to introduce cheaper Retina MacBook and updated entry-level iPad models at the event.
Tickets for WWDC 2018 go on sale in late March and will cost US$ 1599, same price as previous years. Tickets will be issued to attendees through a random selection process as demand is so high.

Google at the Pixel event back in October last year had announced Assistant Routines, and they are finally rolling out replacing 'My Day.' This feature is meant to allow a single phrase to initiate multiple commands and the feature is now live on the Google Assistant's / Google Home app's settings.
You can find these controls with Home control, Music, and Shortcuts. The functionality lets you take your device off the silent mode and adjust smart home appliances, like the temperature on a thermostat and more. There are six routines; Good Morning, Bedtime, Leaving home, I'm home, Commuting to work, and Commuting home. Obviously, the last two routines are only accessible from your phone.
The Good Morning routine will replace the previous 'My Day' feature. These routines will be voice-dependent, so you and the other people in your home will be able to trigger your own actions for each one. After running through Routine commands, users can start using Assistant normally again. To further customize, users can start changing and adding multiple phrases to trigger one Routine.

According to OpenSignal's latest speed test report, Navi Mumbai is the fastest 4G city in India and it stole the top spot from Mumbai. Navi Mumbai registered an average 4G speed of 8.72 Mbps in OpenSignal’s latest data.
Chennai has secured the second place with nearly 8.52 Mbps speed which is double the 4G speeds compared to 4.4 Mbps from March 2017. Allahabad is the only city to register less than 4 Mbps with average speeds of just 3.5 Mbps. Interestingly, six out of the top ten cities are in the southern or western regions.
After Chennai, it is Kolkata with 8.46 Mbps and Bangalore follows it with 7.17 Mbps speeds. OpenSignal for this chart has calculated speeds among 20 of India’s largest cities, but it is by no means a comprehensive list of every city in India. ZTE's nubia brand has scheduled an event on March 22nd to introduced V19 smartphone in the new 'V series' in China. The company has confirmed in the invite that it will come with a 6-inch full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio in the size of the 5.5-inch phone. It also said that the phone will cost about 1000 yuan (US$ 158 / Rs. 10,265 approx.). The company showcased the phone at the MWC last month that also says it will come with a long battery life, which is expected to be 5000mAh, similar to the N3 that went official recently.
Nubia already confirmed that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and a whole lot of RAM for the best gaming experience. However the company did not share the complete specifications of the phone at that time.

Microsoft has announced that it has created first machine human-level Chinese to English translation. It is one of a kind Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered machine system that can translate sentences of news articles from Chinese to English with the same quality and accuracy as humans.
Researchers from both USA and Asia said that their system has achieved human parity on a commonly used test set of news stories named newstest2017 which was developed by a group of industry and academic partners and released at a research conference WMT17 last fall. Post the tests, the company says that the results are accurate and on par with human-level.
The team said that they have hired external bilingual human evaluators, who compared the Microsoft’s results to two independently produced human reference translations. The company is calling it a major milestone in one of the most challenging natural language processing tasks. The team used the dual-learning method meaning that a sentence which is sent to translation from Chinese to English, was also translated it back from English to Chinese. This method made sure the translation accurate, and it allowed the system to refine and learn from its own mistakes.
