Two new Micromax Funbook tablets, the Micromax Funbook P365 and the Funbook P256 are available online. These tablets have a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Funbook P365 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Funbook P256 is powered by a 1.2 GHz single-core Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The P365 comes with a 2G SIM slot and voice calling, while the P256 doesn't have a SIM slot. Both these support 3G via dongle.

Xolo launched the Q700, the company’s second smartphone in the Q CORE series back in May 2013. It even launched the Xolo Q700i with upgraded camera in October. Now the Xolo Q700S is available for sale on eBay. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) 1capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby.
Even though the front and rear cameras are similar to the Q700, the processor has been upgraded.

Yesterday we reported about the Micromax Canvas Mad A94 launching this week. The phone is now available from retailers, as reported by Mahesh Telecom. The phone has a 4.5-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). As the phone is called Canvas MAd, you'll be paid for watching video ads on the phone. The tag line reads "Get proud to be mad about ads".
Apart from the small image on top, official render of the phone is not available at the moment, but you can check out the image of the phone on the retail box shared by Mahesh Telecom. The phone has a 5-megapixe auto focus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Display resolution is not available at the moment.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102) in India last month and announced that the phone would go on sale this month. It also announced that the phone would be priced between Rs. 22900 and Rs. 24900. Now the phone has been listed on the official Samsung eStore at a price tag of Rs. 22,999. The Grand 2 has a 5.25-inch (1280 x 720 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).
It has a 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera. It is just 8.9 mm thick and weighs 163 grams. It has 1.5GB of RAM and packs a 2,600 mAh battery and also comes with access to Club Samsung, its own entertainment store for the first 3 months.

Micromax has finally launched the Micromax Canvas Mad A94, the company's latest smartphone in the Canvas series. it has built-in MAd app that pays lets you earn points to watch Ads, which can be converted into rupees that would be credited to users' postpaid or prepaid account. The phone packs a 4.5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel auto focus front-facing camera.

Xolo launched the Q1000 Opus, the company's first quad-core smartphone with a quad-core Broadcom chip in the Q CORE series last month. We reviewed the smartphone recently and found some bugs in the camera that crashes the camera often. Xolo has released a minor firmware update that fixes these issues. This update also improves the auto focus problems in the camera. Check out the complete changelog below.

Arsenal and Huawei have announced a new partnership that will see Huawei becomes the global smartphone partner for the Arsenal Football Club globally. It will also include exclusive offers, content and brand presence during Arsenal matches. This partnership would be officially unveiled to the fans at Emirates Stadium before the Premier League clash with Fulham on Saturday.
This would see officials and players taking part in Huawei's communication and promotional activities both in the UK and overseas. Back in 2013 HTC became the official Smartphone partner of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League in a three-year partnership. Recently Xolo inked three-season exclusive partnership detal with Liverpool Football Club to become the official smartphone partner across Indian sub-continent.

Xolo launched the Q3000, the company's first smartphone with a full HD display last month. We already brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It packs a 5.7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, but it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU, similar to the Q1000S. We had already seen several smartphones with a full HD screens and a MT6589T chip. Let’s find out how this competes with other devices in a range of synthetic benchmark tests.

Lava announced its new phone, the Iris Pro 30 at an event in Delhi yesterday. The company talked in length about its focus on hardware quality and materials used. In our hands on impressions, we found that despite looking very heavily inspired by the iPhone, the phone does have better build quality than most others in its category. Additionally, the screen is amongst the best we've seen in the category. Priced at Rs 15,990, the Android 4.2.2 running phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz quad core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. There's a woeful 4GB of built in storage but you can expand this via the microSD card slot. The camera is an 8MP unit with a Samsung sensor.

Prior to the CES 2014, Lenovo had announced their Miix 2 8inch tablet and at CES 2014, they showed off their 10.1inch offering of the same series. Apple calls the iPhone 5s, the most forward thinking iPhone yet. A departure from when Apple didn't care to enter the spec wars, it claims to be the best smartphone in the world. Historically speaking, the "S" editions of Apple's smartphones have changed little on the outside and have opted for substantial changes under the hood. This remains the case here as well. The iPhone 5s brings 64bit support, Touch ID fingerprint sensor and a completely overhauled operating system as well. Does all of this align to make investing in the iPhone worth it? We find out in our review.
Hardware
There's little that has changed here over the previous iteration. You still have a 4inch display which feels diminutive amidst the 5inch plus behemoths that are its competition. There's a simplicity to the design of the iPhone that has permeated through the generations and the 5s puts further emphasis on this.
A polished metal rim surrounds the glass construction. The chamfered edges further accentuate the design. The phone's measurements remain the same and it still weighs a feather light 112grams. Hardware and Design
The 5.5-inch IPS display at a resolution of 960 by 540 has a pixel density of just 200 PPI. The display is definitely not impressive and the colors are not vibrant. The sunlight legibility too is poor. Since the phone lacks an ambient light sensor, you have to adjust the brightness manually while viewing videos. The screen is glossy and is fingerprint magnet.

iberry launched the Auxus CoreX8 tablet and the Auxus Xenea X1 smartphone last week, now the company has launched the Auxus Nuclea N2 smartphone, the successor of the Nuclea N1. This has a 5.7-inch 1080p display, powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) that is upgradable to higher versions via OTA updates. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Two new Micromax Funbook tablets, the Micromax Funbook P365 and the Funbook P256 are available online. These tablets have a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Funbook P365 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Funbook P256 is powered by a 1.2 GHz single-core Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Xolo launched the Q700, the company’s second smartphone in the Q CORE series back in May 2013. It even launched the Xolo Q700i with upgraded camera in October. Now the Xolo Q700S is available for sale on eBay. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) 1capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby.

Yesterday we reported about the Micromax Canvas Mad A94 launching this week. The phone is now available from retailers, as reported by Mahesh Telecom. The phone has a 4.5-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). As the phone is called Canvas MAd, you'll be paid for watching video ads on the phone. The tag line reads "Get proud to be mad about ads".
Apart from the small image on top, official render of the phone is not available at the moment, but you can check out the image of the phone on the retail box shared by Mahesh Telecom. The phone has a 5-megapixe auto focus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Display resolution is not available at the moment.

Micromax has finally launched the Micromax Canvas Mad A94, the company's latest smartphone in the Canvas series. it has built-in MAd app that pays lets you earn points to watch Ads, which can be converted into rupees that would be credited to users' postpaid or prepaid account. The phone packs a 4.5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Xolo launched the Q1000 Opus, the company's first quad-core smartphone with a quad-core Broadcom chip in the Q CORE series last month. We reviewed the smartphone recently and found some bugs in the camera that crashes the camera often. Xolo has released a minor firmware update that fixes these issues. Arsenal and Huawei have announced a new partnership that will see Huawei becomes the global smartphone partner for the Arsenal Football Club globally. It will also include exclusive offers, content and brand presence during Arsenal matches. The Lenovo Miix 2 10.1inch is a very interesting device as it can be used as both a tablet as well as a laptop. The Miix 2 10.1inch model comes with a detachable display unit that can function as a tablet when detached. Apple calls the iPhone 5s, the most forward thinking iPhone yet. A departure from when Apple didn't care to enter the spec wars, it claims to be the best smartphone in the world. Hardware and Design
The 5.5-inch IPS display at a resolution of 960 by 540 has a pixel density of just 200 PPI. The display is definitely not impressive and the colors are not vibrant. The sunlight legibility too is poor. Since the phone lacks an ambient light sensor, you have to adjust the brightness manually while viewing videos. The screen is glossy and is fingerprint magnet.
On the top you have an earpiece. Since this is present on the top edge, you'll need some time to get used to it. On the right there is a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera. Next to it is the Proximity sensor. It doesn't have an ambient light sensor, which is disappointing.
