This could be the best time to shift from your iPhone to the OnePlus 6T: Here’s why

Undoubtedly, iPhones are the most popular smartphones in the world with its own set of pros and cons. With that being said, the Cupertino tech giant has been slowly cranking up the average cost of the iPhone especially in the past couple of years. This move was abhorred by most of the people including few hardcore Apple fans. As a result, the company has limited the production of the recently launched iPhone XR, iPhone XS and XS max. While few remain loyal to iOS, there are lots of consumers out there, wanting to switch to Android eco-system due to its open-end possibility and affordability. If you are the one planning for a switch, this could be the best time to shift from your iPhone to the OnePlus 6T for some premium Android experience. One of the major reasons is its price point. Carrying a retail tag of Rs. 37,999, the OnePlus 6T is more than half the price of the iPhone XR. Another reason is based on Android customisation. As per the Google claims, Android Pie is one of the major updates in the Android's history which in different direction focussed heavily on Assistant's and AI's, with increased automation at the core ...

Here’s How OPPO’s Super VOOC Charging Works

Ever since OPPO introduced VOOC charging a few years back, it has taken the mantle of being the fastest charging standard around. However, as smartphone usage becomes ever more integrated into our life, there is a need for an even faster charging solution. Earlier this year, OPPO debuted the successor to VOOC and it puts every competing standard to shame. Follow along as we talk in depth about OPPO’s Super VOOC charging technology.  Let's start with the basics. OPPO's Super VOOC takes a leap ahead of VOOC Flash Charge and dramatically improves on charging times. Super VOOC can give you a 40% charge in 10 minutes. Realistically, we’re talking about a full day’s worth of charge in the time it takes you to make a cup of coffee. This is a drastic improvement over the first generation VOOC technology that took half an hour to charge up to 60%. So how does it work?  A standard charger tops off a phone with a constant charge. This takes a really long time to charge your phone. In comparison, fast charging technologies are able to give you a lot of power quickly but then taper off once the battery has reached a certain percentage. The first generation ...

LG patent shows foldable smartphone with borderless design

LG recently filed patents for the foldable and flexible smartphones names, and now the company has filed patents for a smartphone with a large borderless flexible display that is wrapped around the entire housing and packs very small bezels.  LG Display has filed the design patent with KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office), and the patent was granted and published on 23rd October 2018. The patent sketches showcase a bezel-less smartphone with a large screen that covers four sides of the smartphone and shows a rimless smartphone with a flexible screen. The screen can be unfolded to tablet format, but housing itself cannot be folded. When unfolded, you have the housing and the display on the left, meaning you will have a flexible display. The design is therefore significantly different from that of Samsung and Royale; both manufacturers showed their foldable smartphone design earlier this month. The LG display design patent is currently only granted in Korea. LG is rumored to showcase the foldable smartphone design at the CES 2019, meaning we still have to wait some more time to know more details. Source | Via
