YouTube Dark Theme rolling out widely for Android users
YouTube for Desktop got dark theme back in 2017 and since then it is the most requested feature for mobile as well. iOS app got it in March. After testing it in Android in July, the app got the feature in 13.35.51 version. The latest 13.36.50 version that started rolling out today has brought the feature more widely.
You can enable the dark theme from a toggle directly from app settings and click Dark theme to toggle the feature on or off. You may need to restart the app to see Dark theme settings. Once enabled, the interface completely turns into the dark which is quite a refreshment from the routine white design. However, it is only available for the main app, and not for YouTube studio app.
The company is testing Explore tab, picture-in-picture and more features for Android users.
You can download the latest version of YouTube for Android from Google Play Store or side-load the APK manually.

OnePlus has been revolutionizing the Indian smartphone market since its inception with OnePlus One. Since then, the company has almost doubled its market share in the premium smartphone segment in India, gaining the lead over smartphone makers like Apple and Samsung in India.
OnePlus launched its OnePlus 6 in May, which in fact became OnePlus’ fastest selling smartphone in the history. As a part of the tradition, the company is working on ‘T’ model, which is essentially an upgrade over the previous model in any given year.
According to a recent report, OnePlus 6T is expected to be the next mid-cycle refresh from OnePlus this year. The company also confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 6T will feature an in-display fingerprint reader, making it the first smartphone from OnePlus portfolio to have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The company has also released a new teaser which hints at the in-display fingerprint scanner.
It also said it originally intended to introduce the technology on the OnePlus 5T, but it did not do since the technology wasn’t mature enough to meet the company’s standards for delivering a fast and smooth user experience, so it had to wait for a year.

Apple’s 2019 iPhones might not feature Time-of-Flight 3D Sensor: Kuo
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, contrary to some analysts' expectations, Apple is unlikely to integrate a time-of-flight (ToF) depth sensing system in 2019 iPhones. Reports regarding the rear-facing 3D sensing capabilities in 2019 iPhone lineup started surfacing last year.
The ToF approach is entirely different from the current TrueDepth sensor system present on the front of the iPhone X. The TrueDepth relies on a structured-light technique that projects a pattern of 30,000 laser dots onto a user's face and measures the distortion to generate an accurate 3D image for authentication.
In contrast, ToF calculates the time taken for the laser to bounce off surrounding objects to create a 3D image of the environment. In the latest research note, Kuo said that the company would not use a rear-side application of ToF technology in next year's smartphone lineup. Reasons for this being the distance and depth information provided by rear-side ToF is currently insufficient for creating the "revolutionary AR experience" that Apple is hoping for since it requires 5G connectivity.
Furthermore, the addition of rear-side ToF would contribute very less to the iPhone's photo-taking capabilities, since the current setup is already capable of capturing or simulating enough distance/depth information to make photo-features like Portrait Mode a reality and this makes it ...
