Google has updated its Gboard app bringing support for 28 new language varieties, including two German dialects, Finland Swedish, and Tahitian. With this update, the Gboard supports 446 language variants on Android.
The 28 new languages includes Assyrian Neo-Aramaic, Gheg Albanian, Betawi, Bukusu, Chiga, Dargwa, Extremaduran, Gondi, Garo, Hiri, Hunsrik, Jambi Malay, Kurukh, Lango, Kedah Malay, Sabah Malay, Masaba, Nyoro, Picard, Pfaelzisch, Balkan Romani, Tahitian, Soga.
Last month, Google added 16 new languages including Handwriting Input for 4 others languages. It has also added support for Japanese in Android TV and improvements to Morse code.The company also introduced new "minis" sticker pack as a celebration towards passing 1 billion installs on the Play Store.
On the other hand, Google launched a new app for Indian bloggers called Blog Compass to help them track WordPress or Blogger.com site stats, approve comments, and read tips on how to make the blog more successful, all in one place. The app is currently available in Beta for Android in English and Hindi, and Google says that it is working on adding features and fixing bugs based on feedback from users.

Razer announced the Razer Phone back in November last year. After the confirmation of the Razer Phone 2 by the company in the earning call recently, it has surfaced in AnTuTu Benchmark confirming some of the specifications, including whopping 512GB of storage, up from 64GB storage on the first-generation gaming smartphone.
It is still sticking to its 5.7-inch QHD Sharp IGZO screen with refresh rate of up to 120Hz and support for Qualcomm Q-Sync. It runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) and scored 283,397 points. We still don't have any details about its design, cameras, and the battery capacity.
The Razer Phone 2 is expected to official sometime in October or early November, similar to the predecessor. Will it compete with the other latest flagship smartphones such as ROG Phone, Xiaomi Black Shark and others? We will have to wait for few more weeks to find out.

Instagram has been adding lots of new features lately in a bid to keep up with the trend. Facebook-owned Instagram has added personalized emoji shortcuts to its app, where the most used emoji will be placed on the top of the keyboard when you begin to type the post.

Xiaomi’s MIUI is well-known for the customizations it offers, despite being user-friendly and customizable people have some complaints with MIUI such as Notification Shade and MIUI Launcher. Xiaomi tried fixing the notification shade with MIUI 9 notification shade and further improved it with MIUI 10 notification shade but MIUI Launcher didn’t get much improvement with new MIUI versions. At first glance, MIUI launcher seems to have taken inspiration from iOS launcher and it still lacks an App Drawer. Social media and micro-blogging service Twitter has launched a new service that let users create audio-only broadcast directly from Twitter itself, as well as Twitter’s Periscope. This feature is available from the same interface where the user normally launches live video. Having said that, it’s currently available on the Twitter app for iOS, as well as on Periscope.

Instead of having only option to record video, users from now on will have a button to tap to pick up the audio-only broadcast. The company also confirmed that this feature is available only on the Twitter app for iOS and on Periscope for the time being. Also, there is no time-frame mentioned as well for when it will reach other Android and other platforms.

Chinese conglomerate Alibaba has officially announced that Daniel Zhang, CEO will succeed Jack Ma as chairman of the board, starting September 10, 2019.
Meanwhile, Jack Ma will continue as executive chairman at Alibaba over the next 12 months and will stay on the Alibaba board of directors until the 2020 annual shareholders meeting.
Moreover, Ma is planning to focus on philanthropy, education and also said to pursue new dreams. Ma stepped down as CEO in 2013, handing the position over to Jonathan Lu. Then Lu was replaced in 2015 by Zhang, Alibaba’s former COO.

After the box of the OnePlus 6T, the company's upcoming flagship smartphone surfaced revealing an in-display fingerprint sensor and a waterdrop notch, now in an e-mail to CNET the company confirmed that it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also said that it originally intended to introduce the technology on the OnePlus 5T, but it did not do since the technology wasn't mature enough to meet the company's standards for delivering a fast and smooth user experience, so it had to wait for an year.

Xiaomi launched Redmi Y2 running MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo back in June, in the same event company also announced MIUI 10. Xiaomi started rolling out MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM in mid-June but said that stable roll out will start in September. Today, Redmi Y2 users started reporting that they are receiving a new Stable OTA update on their devices.
The new update comes as MIUI 10.0.1.0.OEFMIFH and is 501 MB in size. At the annual AGM back in July, Reliance Jio chairman said that YouTube, WhatsApp and an improved Facebook app will be available for JioPhone from 15th August. After a month's delay, WhatsApp is now available. The app has been built specially for Jio KaiOS, a web based operating system designed for JioPhone, so that its users get the best experience.
WhatsApp for JioPhone and the JioPhone 2 is available for download from the Jio App store starting today, September 10, 2018 and will be rolled out on all JioPhones by September 20, 2018. Once downloaded, users can verify their phone number with OTP and start chatting.

Vivo has announced plans to spearhead industry development of pre-commercial 5G smartphones through the introduction of 5G software and hardware based on Vivo NEX S smartphone. The company has also announced that it has completed the initial development of 5G smartphone software and hardware on Vivo NEX S.
Based on the Qualcomm X50 modem, Vivo has completed the initial architecture planning, 3D placement stacking, RF /antenna designs, and optimized battery space within NEX to deliver 5G capabilities. It has also completed the first phase of protocol and signaling tests with Keysight UXM 5G signaling.
The company as the next step for the 5G pre-commercial smartphone will enter further IODT tests with 5G infrastructure and networking equipment. Instagram has confirmed that it is testing a new feature that would allow users to tag their friends in video posts, not just limiting the tagging feature to photos. The feature would work similarly to photo tagging, but instead of pressing the small icon at the bottom left, it might be more difficult with videos.
On tapping the button, you will be redirected to a new page titled “People in this Video” with all the Instagram users who have either appeared in the video or the poster wants to include. The Department of Telecommunications today has approved the state-owned BSNL plan to seek airwaves in the 2100 Mhz band to launch 4G services pan-India. BSNL in 2017 has submitted a detailed project report and in a bid to acquire spectrum worth about Rs 13,885 crore, and sought Rs 6,652 crore as equity infusion from the government.
Telecom Commission has extended the duration for spectrum payments from 10 to 16 years now, after an inter-ministerial group’s (IMG) recommendation. BSNL Chairman Anupam Shrivastava said: “The telecom department has accepted our proposal and is in the process to allow spectrum in the 2100 Mhz band to run 4G services." This would allow the telecom to launch high-speed Long-Term Evolution (LTE) services soon.
Of all the telecom networks in India, BSNL is lagging behind in the 4G rollout and this is because of the lack of proper radio waves needed to launch 4G services.
