Airtel offers VoLTE services in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka, Chennai, West Bengal, Orissa, Assam, Kerala, Bihar, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh circles. Today the company has announced that over 200 4G smartphones now support its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services.
This includes major brands like OPPO, Vivo, Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, Nokia, Panasonic, Xiaomi, Karbonn, Lava, Panasonic and more. Sadly Google Pixel series is not in the list.
Airtel has also been consistently ramping up its 4G capacity across the country to serve the fast growing customer demand for high-speed data. In case of non-availability of 4G network, Airtel VoLTE calls automatically fall back on 3G/2G network to ensure that customers continue to stay connected at all times.

The company already started teasing the smartphone with a sleek design and several color variants. It did not share any other details about the smartphone, but we can expect the smartphone at a competitive price tag. It could launch in the next couple of weeks.
Soon after the announcement of the Meizu 16 and 16 Plus smartphones earlier this month, the Meizu 16X with the model number M872Q has been certified by TENAA in China. This is expected to feature Snapdragon 710 SoC instead of Snapdragon 845, while other specifications are expected to remain same, including an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Huawei at the IFA 2018 announced Kirin 980, its next-generation processor of high-end devices and the world’s first commercial mobile SoC manufactured with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturer Company’s (TSMC) 7nm proces and with dedicated Dual Neural Processing Unit (NPU). It is an Octa-Core SoC with two ARM Cortex A76 Cores clocked up to 2.6GHz for Turbo performance, two ARM Cortex A76 Cores clocked up to 1.92GHz for Long-lasting performance and four ARM Cortex A55 Cores clocked up to 1.8 GHz for power efficiency. It has support for LTE Cat.21 offering download speeds of up to 1.4 Gbps.

Huawei at the IFA 2018 announced its flagship Kirin 980 7nm SoC with dedicated dual neural network processing units. The high-end Mate 20 Pro flagship is rumored to pack triple rear cameras like the P20 series along with an in-display fingerprint sensor, wireless charging. The Huawei Mate 20 is expected to pack a 4,200mAh battery and sport a 6.3-inch AMOLED display and since the phone is expected to pack wireless charger, it is said to be featuring a glass back. According to the latest report from International Data Corporation (IDC), the wearables market in India has witnessed a growth in the second quarter of 2018 (2018Q2) as the overall wearables market grew 66% year-over-year (YOY) and 40% sequentially, making it the biggest quarter for the wearables category in India.
The report also mentioned that one million units of wearables were shipped in 2018 Q2 with top three brands retaining their position in the overall wearables market.
Apart from wristbands, which accounted for almost 90% of the shipments during the quarter, watches with wearable computing also grew 34% sequentially.

The video shows a device that you can wear on your wrist. It has a large, curved OLED touch screen, a camera on the front along with a microphone and buttons on either sides. On the back there are charging pins and a heart rate sensor. It also has a metal strap, and it comes in Black and Golden colors.
The company did not share technical details or when it will go on sale, and the device in the video doesn't look like it is still in concept stage. It looks good in the video, but it is not clear how long this will last since most LTE smartwatches with calling capabilities doesn't last throughout the day.

Huawei at the IFA 2018 announced that it has sold 10 million units of P20 Pro and P20 smartphones globally in the first five months. It also introduced new variants in the P20 series. It also said that it has shipped over 10 million units in the Mate 10 series.
This includes Morpho Aurora and Pearl White variants of the P20 and the P20 Pro that are nature-inspired hues.
The company also introduced leather variants of the P20 Pro. This includes Golden Brown and Elegant Black Leather back versions that uses Italian calf leather in the top layer, Pamelatto handmade tanning process offering exquisite, natural texture.

In a recent development, the photos of yet-to-be-launched GoPro HERO 7 have been leaked online through product display. This GoPro camera which is expected to go, official, later this month will be available in three colors -- White, Silver, and Black and it is waterproof up to 33 feet as well.
In addition to it, the Black variant of the GoPro HERO 7 comes with a display on the front like the Hero 4 line up, specifically the silver variant. It's worth mentioning that, at the same time last year, GoPro launched the HERO 6 with 4K video at 60 FPS capability and boasted a custom built GP1 processor.

Cupertino-giant, Apple has announced the launch of a 'new logic board repair program', according to which, the company will offer free repairs for iPhone 8 that are affected by problems.
As per the company, very few devices have been affected that causes mobile to restart, freeze, and unresponsive. In this case, the user can avail a free repair. The company also mentioned that the affected units were sold in places like China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, New Zealand, and the U.S. between September 2017 and March 2018. The company said that the issue does not affect iPhone 8 Plus models or other iPhone models.

After the controversial API changes, Twitter is all set to introduce new features for its native application. Named as 'Presence' and 'Threading', the Presence features lets users see who else is online at any given moment, while the Threading will make replies more like messaging interface.
Sara Haider, Head of product, Twitter, showcased this new feature through a tweet. Since both, the features are in Beta mode right now, we are not clear about the official roll out yet.

Following the launch in Mumbai, Airtel recently launched VoLTE services across rest of Maharashtra & Goa. With this option, now Airtel users can enjoy HD quality voice calls with faster call set up time compared to normal voice calls on their VoLTE-compatible 4G handsets. There will be no additional data charges for VoLTE and calls will be billed as per existing plan or packs benefits.
As of now, only a few devices support the VoLTE option, and it's worth mentioning here that the handset should be upgraded with the latest software provided by your mobile maker.
In order to verify the VoLTE feature on your mobile phone, head on to Settings -> Mobile Data -> Mobile Data Options -> Enable 4G -> Turn on Voice & Data -- if you are iOS user, else, go to Settings -> Settings -> Mobile Network -> Turn on VoLTE call, if you are an Android user.
If you have a dual-SIM smartphone, the Airtel SIM should be inserted in the first SIM slot and network mode should be set as "4G/3G/2G (Auto)" for VoLTE.

OnePlus has released the first OxygenOS Open Beta update for its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone, which is based on the latest Android 9.0 (Pie) after several developer ROMs and closed beta. You can download the OnePlus 6 OxygenOS open beta ROM from here and update it directly from update settings easily. You can also roll back to stable anytime. OnePlus says that some applications may have issues since this is beta, Google Pay service doesn't work, and Google Play Store might show "Device is not Certified by Google" since this is still in beta.
OnePlus 6 will be the first OnePlus to get Android Pie stable update later this year, and the company said that it is working on the development of Android Pie for OnePlus 5/5T, 3/3T.

Xiaomi has launched the Red color variant of the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India, as expected. This joins the Black, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold variants of the smartphone that were launched in the country earlier this year. The Red version has Black finish on the front and Red finish on the back and the sides.

Qualcomm is gearing to introduce its next-generation flagship Mobile Platform in the coming months, and it confirmed that it will be built on the 7nm process node and will be 5G-capable when paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem. Now a new device powered by Qualcomm msmnile chip has passed through Geekbench, which could be the next-gen flagship SoC from Qualcomm.
The device that it was tested on runs Android 9.0 (Pie) and has 6GB of RAM. This has registered a score of 3697 points for single-core and 10469 for Multi-Core. This is on-par with the Apple's A11 Bionic chip that scored 4238 points in the single-core test and 10478 points in Multi-Core test. It is way better than current Snapdragon 845-powered flagships.

A few days back Xiaomi shared the 3D renders of the purported Mi Mix 3, but now, Donovan Sung, Director of Product Management, Xiaomi has posted the real photo of the phone itself and revealed the support for 5G as well.
If the report turns out to be true, Mi Mix 3 will likely to sport an FHD+ AMOLED display with a screen-to-body ratio of over 90%, Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB, and similar AI dual rear cameras. It is doubtful if there will be an in-display fingerprint sensor, but there might be a special edition with the feature, like the Mi 8 Explorer Edition.
