Diesel has launched a next-gen smartwatch including heart rate tracking, NFC payment capabilities, and GPS tracking. Dubbed as Full Guard 2.5, this touchscreen smartwatch is compatible with both Android and iOS platform.
This wearable is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC and shipped with Wear OS by Google. In addition to it, the wearable comes equipped with rapid charging, music control, customizable watch faces, and smartphone notifications.
Furthermore, it has other features including heart rate tracking, Swimproof Technology, GPS distance tracking, and others. With Full guard 2.5, users can make purchases using NFC using Google Play in selected countries and Alipay in China. This smartwatch supports Google Assistance in selected languages as well.
It also has the ability to change the display as per the local weather, which will be notified to the user in animations like ice, snow, rain, severe thunderstorm and, now, with the addition of cloudy, foggy and humidity.

LG has introduced world’s first 8K (7680 x 4320) OLED TV at the IFA 2018 in Berlin. It features over 33 million self-emitting pixels offering the best contrast ratio and true blacks. LG did not reveal any details about the TV, but said that it will continue to increase the OLED share in its premium TV portfolio and drive large scale consumer adoption of OLED TVs. Even though 8K TV market is not big currently, it is expected to grow to more than 5 million units by 2022.
"Despite advancements in LCD field, OLED has been often referred to as the "next-generation display technology" because it emits its own light, eliminating the need for any kind of backlighting. This allows for state-of-art TVs which redefine both the picture quality and the product design. Not only was LG able to pioneer such technologies, but it was also able to successfully market them," said LG.
The 88-inch 8K LG OLED TV will be showcased at IFA 2018 in Berlin.

Recently, some user reported that their cross-posted tweets disappeared from Facebook suddenly. However, it became clear after some that Facebook has removed all tweets that user posted through cross-posting from Twitter.
This happened as a consequence of the recent API change, which took effect earlier this month. Having said that, it prevents the third-party app from publishing a post on users account, since Facebook is working to lock down its platform following the Cambridge Analytica scandal, where 87 million Facebook users data has been shared.
According to Axios, Twitter had initially asked Facebook for more time to see if there was a way for users to continue joint posting to both social networks, but Facebook said no.

Update - August 30: After beta update recently, Xiaomi has finally announced that it will roll out MIUI Global Stable ROM based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) update later this week.
It also said that it will include Face unlocking feature, and it will work for users in Indonesia, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam with the update, while other countries will get it later. The update will also include update camera algorithms to improve the image quality.

Xiaomi today announced that it is migrating its Indian data to cloud service providers with infrastructure in India. This cover all Indian user data across Xiaomi e-commerce platform (mi.com/in), Mi Community (in.c.mi.com), Mi Cloud, MIUI (Xiaomi Market, feed, Mi Video, advertising, Mi Messaging, push notifications, etc) and Mi TV.
It is using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure infrastructure in India and the company said that all the existing data would be migrated by the end of 2018, while new Indian user data since 1 July is already being stored in local servers. All existing user data on mi.com/in will be fully migrated to servers in India by mid-September 2018.
Prior to this these were stored in AWS servers across Singapore and the United States. This promises jump in access speed.
