OPPO is all set to introduce its flagship Find X smartphone on June 19th at an event in Paris. The specifications of the smartphones were already revealed, however the design of the smartphone was a mystery, but not anymore. A promo on CTV has revealed the design of the smartphone with no bezels on three sides and minimal bezel on the bottom, similar to the Vivo NEX that was introduced earlier this week. This doesn't reveal the front camera, so there are chances for a pop-up camera like the NEX.
It also reveals an unique design that reveals a curved back and rear cameras.
OPPO has officially confirmed that the phone will have over 90% screen-to-body ratio, and the image that shows the phone from the side reveals near bezel-less screen.

This week Xiaomi has announced the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones in China. Vivo has announced the much-hyped full-screen Vivo NEX S smartphone. Garmin has launched the vivoactive 3 Music smartwatch with integrated Music support and lots more in our weekly roundup.
Xiaomi announced the Redmi 6, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series and the successor of Redmi 5. It has a 5.45-inch HD+ display 18:9 aspect ratio display with 80.7% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 12nm processor and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 on top. It has a 5-megapixel front camera with face unlock and AI portrait. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 3GB RAM + 32GB storage costs 799 yuan (US$ 124 / Rs. 8,410 approx.), the Xiaomi Redmi 6 4GB RAM + 64GB storage – 999 yuan (US$ 156 / Rs. 10,520 approx.).
The Redmi 6A with the first MediaTek Helio A22 12nm Quad-Core SoC, single 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera both with AI Portrait mode, but it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. Google today is rolling out a new update to its Gmail app for iOS. This new update brings changes to the way the app pushes out notifications. When you receive important emails in your Gmail inbox, the app identifies which mail will need your attention.
Google will leverage on its Gmail’s machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities to identify messages you may want to read first. To enable the feature, select “High priority only” from the Notifications drop-down in the settings menu of your Gmail iOS app. However, the feature is currently only available on iOS but will be coming to Android pretty soon. Since this is not a 'by default' feature, you will have to enable the setting from the drop-down menu.
Google also said that this feature would be available to every iOS user in the coming two days, so if you haven't received the update yet, you will.

VR180 camera lets you record and creates three-dimensional, immersive photos and videos and now to make it even easier for you to create and edit high-quality VR videos, Google is launching VR180 Creator on Mac and Linux. This application lets you edit VR180 footage with existing VR video tools.
The application currently offers two features for VR videos; "Convert for Publishing” this feature takes the raw fisheye footage from VR180 cameras and converts it into a standardized equirect projection. This can also be edited with another video editing softwares that most of the creators already use. Next feature is the “Prepare for Publishing;” this feature re-injects the VR180 metadata after editing so that the footage is viewable on YouTube or Google Photos in 2D or VR.
The Google's VR180 app is only available for Mac and Linux at the time of release, Google didn't mention anything about Windows release just yet. This application surely simplifies the editing process of the VR180 recordings. It is free to use application and can download from here.

Apple post the release of iPhone X faced criticism from a section of users for its price tag. Google is planning on fixing a bug on Chromecast TV streaming stick and Home that reveals user’s location. This bug lets a website collect precise user location data, according to a report from security reporter Brian Krebs. This bug exploits a loophole in Google’s systems to cross-check a list of nearby wireless networks with Google’s precise geolocation look-up services.
By using the location gained by the nearby Wi-Fi networks through a Google Home or Chromecast, malicious websites can triangulate a user’s location. Since these devices barely need any authentication from third parties to receive data on local networks, they exploit the generous permissions to collect any sensitive data.

OPPO is all set to introduce its flagship Find X smartphone at a global event in Paris, France later today. The company has sent out invites for the launch of a smartphone in India on July 12. Even though the invite doesn't say that it will be the Find X, the caption "Find what you have have been looking for until now" hints at the launch of the next-generation Find series smartphone.
Recent leaks confirmed the specifications and the design of the smartphone. OPPO also confirmed that the Find X will feature a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio screen.
Even images that have surfaced clearly shows unique slider design to hide both the front and rear cameras. OPPO will introduce its flagship Find X smartphone at a global event in Paris, France later today. Now The Verge has posted hands-on impressions of the smartphone that reveals all the specifications. As rumoured, the phone features a pop-up front and rear cameras that are motorized, so it doesn't have a notch for the 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen. It still has narrow bezels on the top for the earpiece. The phone also has 3D facial scanning system for biometric authentication, and will not come with a fingerprint sensor or 5x dual-camera zoom.

The phone has a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 20-megapixel secondary rear camera that can open on 0.5 seconds. Huawei’s Honor brand launched its flagship Honor 10 smartphone in India last month running Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.1 on top. Now it has rolled out a new update that brings several new features including party mode feature that lets you connect several phones to play the same song simultaneously, HiTouch that lets you quickly identify objects by scanning them, Paytm entergration, and most expected EIS feature for videos.

Paytm has announced that it has acquired Delhi-based tech startup Cube26. The company says that this acquisition will help Paytm by leveraging the work Cube26 has done in consumer engagement products in the Social and Content domain.
Once the deal is finalized, Cube26 team will join Paytm. The companies did not disclose the financial details of the deal. If you look closely, Paytm was been working closely in building social media products and content focused on consumer engagement.
As for Cube26, the company has customized Android OS and developed varied applications for original equipment manufacturers. The company claims Tiger Global and Flipkart as its investors.

The worldwide wearables market forecasts an estimate of 124.9 million units by the end of 2018, which is an 8.2% increase from the same time last year. Though the growth is slightly lower than the 10.3% growth experienced in 2017, the market is expected to return to double-digit growth from 2019 until 2022 as smartwatches and other form factors grow according to International Data Corporation (IDC).
According to IDC, beyond the typical wrist-worn devices, earwear is also expected to gain momentum as various brands start to capitalize on the growing interest in smart assistants. Qualcomm's dedicated chipsets for this category is likely to also help bolster supply. Furthermore, products with built-in sensors is also expected to grow and double its share by 2022.
As expected, Apple's WatchOS continued to lead with 20.2 million shipments, 16.2% market share in 2018. However, the market share is expected to go up to 34.5 million units by 2022. On the other hand, Wear OS stands second with 5.4 million shipments with 4.3% market share. The combined smartwatch shipments hit 43.5 million units in 2018 with 34.8% market share. HMD Global launched the Nokia 2 budget smartphone in India back in November last year. At the launch the company confirmed that the phone will get Android 8.0 (Oreo) update in the future. Fujifilm India today has launched the FUJIFILM X-A5 camera that Sports a retro and stylish design. The camera offers a host of features including a 180-degree tilting rear LCD screen, the latest built-in Bluetooth technology, and an extended battery life.

Amazon India today has announced that Echo users can now control their Smart Home cameras, ACs, TVs and set-top boxes with just their voice. You can switch on the lamp, turn on the geyser without getting out of bed or dim the lights from the couch to watch a movie without lifting a finger.
These new capabilities are available to the newly launched Echo Spot. The company says that Alexa can now show live feeds from an Alexa-compatible camera on the screen of the Echo Spot. Alexa now also supports Smart Voice Remotes or IR Blasters such as OakRemote from Oakter and Silvan Sirus.
These smart remotes replicate the infrared codes of conventional remotes and enable customers to voice control existing devices like ACs, TVs, and set-top-boxes. These devices come pre-configured for major satellite TV providers and customers can switch on/off their TVs and set-top boxes with their voice command. Much like Google routines, Alexa Routines also allows customers to automate a series of customizable actions using a single voice command. Users can create Routines from the Alexa app.
