Xolo Q2000 is a 5.5inch HD smartphone that has all the makings of a typical mid-range Indian phablet(the market which seems to have no end). In terms of specifications, it is nothing ahead or behind the other budget phablets as it is powered by the same 1.2GHz quad-core processor MT6589, 1GB RAM and comes with a 5.5inch HD display.

Avid users of Google's Play Music All Access service have long lamented the lack of ability to set a download location for offline music. With the latest update, Google's Spotify Competitor lets you store the tracks on the SD card instead of eating up valuable internal storage. Google Play Music All Access is a service by the search giant that lets subscribers stream music from a 16 million track library and also lets you keep tracks offline.
If you just stream music or have a device that lacks a card slot then this won't affect you much. However, if your use case scenario is similar to ours where you end up saving playlists offline over WiFi to avoid going over your data limit then you'd know how quickly all those tracks can eat up space. Simply head to the settings option in the app and click storage location. A pop up will let you decide between internal storage or an SD card if you have it installed in your phone. Aitel already confirmed their plans to roll out 4G LTE service on smartphones for customers in Bangalore later this month. Some of our users have received a carrier settings update on the iPhone 5s and 5c that enables the 2300 MHz LTE (Band 40) on their smartphones. This was first spotted by BGR India. Airtel's TD-LTE service works only on that particular band (40) which is rarely seen in smartphones that are currently sold in India.
After the new carrier update you get "Enable LTE" option in the Cellular settings, instead of 3G. Even though Bangalore would be the first circle to get LTE support, all the iPhone 5s and 5c users on Airtel would receive this carrier update which reportedly fixes some network issues.
Airtel uses Circuit Switched FallBack (CSFB) voice solution for the TD-LTE network that would let customers to make and receive voice calls and access voice mails while retaining the experience of ultra-fast data 4G services. Earlier this year Airtel had announced that they would offer voice services for 4G customers in Pune, but it did not happen. Airtel currently offers 4G LTE services in Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Punjab,

Xolo Play Tegra Note that was announced back in September as NVIDIA Tegra Note was spotted online earlier this week. Now the tablet is available for pre-order on Flipkart. Samsung just launched the second iteration of their budget smartphone in the form of Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. Samsung launched a similar smartphone last year and it was quite a hit considering the fact that it almost looked like the flagship(Samsung Galaxy S3 at that time / You can argue that all Samsung smartphones look alike). Samsung Galaxy S Duos was very popular phone in 2012 and at the end of 2013, Samsung have announced a successor - Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. Galaxy S Duos 2 takes up the job of being a budget smartphone and at the same time, providing Samsung's TouchWiz UI along with average specifications. The camera on Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has not changed and it still has the same 5MP sensor. However, thanks to an updated processor, Galaxy S Duos 2 is capable of recording 720p videos.

Yesterday Asus announced that the Padfone mini would be unveiled on December 11th at an event Taipei, Taiwan. Thanks to evleaks, we now know how the Padfone mini would look like. We already know the phone would have a 4.3-inch screen. According to earlier rumors the Padfone mini is expected to come with a 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).
Unlike other Padfone stations, the small Padfone station for the mini would let you dock the phone in the portrait mode, so that you can use it as a tablet, just like the Nexus 7. The tablet has the hardware buttons on the back, which lets you easy to access them, when you are holding it. The mini Padfone station is expected to have a 7-inch display. We still don't have the complete specifications of the device yet.
These leaked press image shows off the device in Black color, so it not clear if the Padfone mini would come in White color like the Padfone Infinity.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab 3 with a 7-inch display back in April. It launched in India in two different variants, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211 with 3G support and the WiFi variant was launched as Galaxy Tab 3 210. Samsung even launched the Galaxy Tab 3 310 and the Galaxy Tab 3 311 with a 8-inch display. Now Sammobile reports that Samsung plans to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in January 2014.
According to the report the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite would be the cheapest Samsung tablet, which would come at price tag of around 100 Euros (~Rs. 8,400). It would come in both 3G and WiFi variants like the Tab 3.
The Wi-Fi variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in Cream White color would go on sale first, in the second week of 2014, followed by the 3G variant in the third week. Ebony Black color variant of both the 3G and WiFi variants would be available in fourth and sixth week of 2014 respectively. These are just tentative launch dates, so the final date might vary, says the report.

At last the wait for the next generation iPads to launch in India is over. Apple has today introduced the iPad Air as well as the iPad Mini with Retina display here in the country. The tablets will be officially unveiled at an event later today however the prices are already available. Xolo Q2000 is yet another Indian phablet in the mid-range smartphone segment. Like most mid-range phablets these days, the Xolo Q2000 comes with a HD display and is powered by the very very very common MediaTek MT6589 processor. Xolo A600 is a budget Android smartphone from Xolo and comes with budget specifications. Xolo A600 is powered by a new dual-core mid-range processor from MediaTek and has a 4.5inch qHD display. Motorola released the Moto G, the company's latest budget phone last month, that would launch in India in January 2014. The company has released the Android 4.3 kernel files for the Moto G. We have already seen companies releasing kernel sources for their high-end device, but Motorola has released the open source kernel files for their budget smartphone.
Even though the source code is not useful for normal users, it would be helpful for Android developers and tinkerers worldwide who would like to create custom software builds.
Even though the OS is pretty much stock Android, the Moto G is not likely to get the Android experience launcher in the Android 4.4 update, since the Moto X did not get the feature in the latest KitKat update. Since the Kernel source for the phone is out now, we might get new custom ROMs for the phone soon, bringing new features.

Gionee has launched the Pioneer P3, the company's latest mid-range smartphone in India, as we reported last week. It has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and has a 1700 mAh battery.
It has guest mode, supports OTA (Over the Air) function which allows for software upgrades and has Gionee Xender that lets user share big files easily.

Airtel has announced that they have partnered with the Government of Punjab to sign an agreement at the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit to expand the 4G LTE services to all towns and villages across Punjab. The company will invest Rs. 4000 crores in Punjab over next 5 years.
Airtel launched 4G LTE in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula in Punjab back in March. As part of the new agreement, the Company will lay additional 10,000 km of optic fiber across Punjab and expand its 4G footprint over the next few years.
Airtel will also invest in its existing 2G mobile operations, Wire-line & DSL Broadband, DTH services, M-Commerce Services offering in the state. So far it has invested over Rs. 4800 crores in the state and its mobile network covers all 162 towns and 12,750 villages, reaching 94% of the population.

Samsung has announced that the sales (to supply channel) of the Galaxy Note 3 has crossed 10 million units globally since it went on sale September 25th, till November 25th. The first Galaxy Note that was launched back in October 2011 took 9 months to cross the 10 million mark and the Galaxy Note 2 took 4 months to achieve this feat, but the Note 3 has crossed the 10 million mark in just 2 months after the launch.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was launched in 58 countries including China, Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia. LTE variants of the Note 3 launched in North America and Europe contributed to strong sales, says the company. Samsung unveiled 3 new color variants for the Note 3 recently that includes, Rose Gold White, Rose Gold Black and Merlot Red apart from the Jet Black, Classic White and Blush Pink colors.
Earlier this year the Samsung Galaxy S4 crossed the 10 million mark in less than one month, so the Note 3 sales are slow compared to Galaxy S4.
