Vivo showcased the world’s first in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone that uses an optical fingerprint sensor from Synaptics. Now the Vivo X20 Plus UD with in-display fingerprint sensor has been certified by TENAA in China. This looks similar to what Vivo had showcased at the CES last week, even though the model number was mentioned as X20 Plus A.
This shares similar specifications as the original X20 Plus, but this is slightly slimmer at 7.35mm, however it is few grams heavier at 183.1 grams compared to the X20 Plus.

Lenovo has partnered with Qualcomm and Microsoft to launch a Snapdragon powered Always Connected PC - Miix 630 at CES 2018. HP and Asus launched their products in December last year at the Snapdragon Summit. I got my hands on the Miix 630 2-1 detachable and it is a pretty nice effort by Lenovo.
The device features a fanless design for a Always On, Always Connected Windows experience. The screen is detachable and the backlit keyboard's folio design doubles up as a case and stand. On the front you have a 12.3-inch 1920x1280 touchscreen display and comes with a Lenovo digital pen with support for Windows Ink.
The pen can be stored safely beside the keyboard. The product weighs 1.33kg including the keyboard and the tablet portion alone is significantly lighter at only 780 grams.

Samsung has launched Galaxy On7 Prime, the company's latest smartphone in India in 'On series', as it had promised. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass screen, is powered by Octa-Core Exynos 7870 processor, runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) and has 13-megapixel front and rear cameras.

Alcatel showcased a new mid-tier smartphone, the Alcatel 3V last week at the CES 2018. However, the company didn't disclose the actual tech specifications of the smartphone, except for the 18:9 aspect ratio screen. Microsoft today announced the availability of the Surface Book 2 in 17 markets including India. The Surface Book 2 was announced back in October last year, and the 13.5-inch model is already available in most markets, while the 15-inch model pre-orders will begin today and would go on sale later this year.

WhatsApp is one of the most used instant messaging application. This is mainly due to the fact that, it is a cross-platform application and offers a lot of value-added services like voice calls, video calls, multimedia sharing, group chat, and not to forget the end-to-end encryption of these messages. Google rolled out a new update to Gboard bringing version number to V6.9, while the update doesn't bring any major changes, it does hint at many upcoming features. The update hints at Smart Reply suggestions, new keyboard, creating own GIFs and more.
Smart reply suggestions for incoming notifications are available to most Google apps like Allo, Gmail, and Inbox and it is now finding its way to Gboard as well. This feature will be showing smart reply suggestions based on the preceding messages while replying from the notification shade in the row above the keyboard. For this feature to get activated, users need to give Gboard “Notification access” in system settings.
The V6.9 adds more details to the creating own Gif functionality. Details like how users can start recording by tapping a new "Make a GIF" button are quite evident. The V6.9 APK also reveals strings related to "Universal Media Keyboard" that can “Search all media.” Once it is activated, a new icon will show up next to the alongside GIF, sticker and emoji search. Facebook last week said that it is overhauling news feed to highlight posts from friends, family to improve social interactions. Today the company has mentioned that it is testing a new video watching experience called 'Watch Party' to let a group of users watch the same video at the same time.
The group of users can watch the video even if isn't broadcasted live. The group watches the videos which are chosen by the Group admins and moderators, and it can be any public videos on Facebook (live or recorded). The group can watch together, and other activities like commenting and reacting to the same moments together.
