Apple released major iOS 11.2 update last month with Apple Pay Cash, faster wireless charging and more, later it released OS 11.2.1, another minor update, now it has released iOS 11.2.2 update to patch several significant security problems. It has also released macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 supplemental update, after the initial macOS 10.13.2 last month.
The iOS 11.2.2 includes security improvements to Safari and WebKit to mitigate the effects of the Spectre vulnerability discovered earlier this month. The macOS 10.13.2 brings security improvements to Safari and WebKit to mitigate the effects of Spectre (CVE-2017-5753 and CVE-2017-5715). There is no hardware fix for Spectre, so Apple is addressing the vulnerability using Safari-based software workarounds.
The iOS 11.2.2 update is available for iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later, and iPod touch 6th generation.

Samsung started teasing the launch of new 'On Series' smartphone in India last month, exclusively on Amazon India. Now Amazon has revealed that the phone as Galaxy On7 Prime and IANS report says that the phone will be launched this week. It has almost similar specifications as the Galaxy J7 Prime that was launched last back in 2016, but this has a 13-megapixel front camera instead of 8-megapixel camera in he J7 Prime.
It has metal unibody design and comes in two variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and the other variant has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It has dedicated dual SIM slots and the fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button

Harman Kardon; a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics today at the CES 2018 show has announced Allure Portable speaker with a digital assistant speaker; Amazon Alexa. Just like the original Harman Kardon Allure speaker, the new portable device is also hands-free and can be controlled by voice commands.
The Harman Kardon Allure portable speaker features 20W 2 x 1.75-inch full-range drivers and 2 passive radiators that can cover up an entire room. The speaker's far-field voice technology allows users to issue commands from across the room which can be heard clearly by the speaker. Since it is portable, it blends well with any environment whether it’s in your living room, office or kitchen, the device fills any space with best in class sound.

Sony at the CES 2018 has announced the SRS-XB41, SRS-XB31, and SRS-XB21 EXTRA BASS wireless speakers. These speakers come with extra bass sound and Live Sound mode and the company promoting them as party speakers thanks to their portability.
The wireless speakers are capable of creating a 3-dimensional music output giving users the feel of the real lifelike experience all because of the new DSP (Digital Signal Processor) and the angled speaker. The Live Sound mode feels as if it is spreading sound both vertically and horizontally. Vivo announced its Under Display Fingerprint Scanning Solution called Vivo Under Display based on an ultrasonic sensor at the MWC 2017 Shanghai back in June. Today at the CES 2018 it showed off world’s first ready-to-produce in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone that uses an optical fingerprint sensor from Synaptics.
This lets users unlock their smartphone through one-touch fingerprint scanning directly on the smartphone display. This doesn’t require a physical button for the fingerprint sensor and allows a true full-screen display and an integrated unibody design.
Availability of Vivo’s first in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone will be announced in early 2018.

Lenovo at the on-going CES 2018 show has announced the Mirage Solo standalone Daydream VR, Mirage VR streaming camera. Unlike the regular VR, the Mirage Solo doesn't need a smartphone. The Mirage VR camera is a point and shoot camera designed to live stream 180-degree VR video.
The Lenovo Mirage Solo Standalone Daydream VR has a 5.5-inch display with QHD resolution display and is based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 VR platform and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. It is the first VR headset to use the full potential of motion-tracking technology, called WorldSense, on Google’s Daydream virtual reality platform. The WorldSense lets you move around in the virtual space as if you’re truly there with leaning, dodging or ducking.

Dell at the CES 2018 event introduced a wide range of products ranging from XPS 15 2-in-1, Latitude series 2-in-1 Notebooks, Dell Cinema audio-visual experience, VR-ready Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop.
The XPS 15 2-in-1 sports a 15.6-inch InfinityEdge 4K Ultra HD display and there is also a 15.6-inches Full HD base model as well. It is powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core processor with Intel HD graphics and discrete Radeon RX Vega M graphics in a single package. It comes with an innovative maglev keyboard and near slim edge display. It runs on Windows 10 with Xbox app, support for DirectX12, and gamers can directly streaming their gameplay using Mixer. Dell along with launch of a wide range of gaming notebooks, notebooks, PCs, has also demoed the new Mobile Connect wireless mobile- Dell PC integration software which will come pre-installed in all new XPS, Inspiron, Alienware and Vostro laptops in 2018.
The software lets users make calls, send texts, get notifications and even fully mirror Android phones on the PC. However, certain functionalities are limited to just iPhone like seeing and replying to incoming calls and messages, while receiving alerts from other apps like Facebook and Whatsapp is limited to Android. It uses WiFi and Bluetooth to let you control your smartphone from the laptop.
Users will also have control on which specific apps you would like to receive notifications from on your PC. Dell says that the connection is secure through a point-to-point, never going through the internet or WiFi routers.
The Mobile Connect wireless mobile-PC integration software will be available on new Dell consumer XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, and Alienware PC’s starting in January 2018 starting with iOS 10 and Android 5.0 Lollipop and above.

It was introduced last month along with the Galaxy A8 (2018) and packs a 6-inch Full HD+Infinity Super AMOLED 18.5:9 display, is powered by Octa-Core Exynos 7885 14nm processor, runs Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), has 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, and a 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual front cameras, both with f/1.9 aperture.
Dual front cameras let you switch between them for close-ups with the background to portrait shots and the Live Focus feature lets you adjust the bokeh effect before or after you take the picture. Samsung is said to begin mass-production of foldable smartphones in November according to a report from ET News. Furthermore, sources claim that the company has decided to mass-produce foldable Smartphones in November as it recently switched from development phase of foldable Smartphones to mass-production phase.
Report further details that Samsung has even established a detailed schedule for production of foldable Smartphones. It is said that the company will start the design work from March and manufacture panels in September. This time frame might suggest that we will be seeing foldable Samsung phones from early 2019.
Though there are no exact specifications, it is said that Samsung foldable Smartphones sport 7.3-inch flexible OLED displays that can also be folded inwards. Samsung Display division will be in charge of manufacturing foldable displays. While Samsung is actively pursuing its foldable smartphone project, it will still remain the second company to introduce foldable smartphone since Lenovo has already introduced a prototype of a foldable Smartphone in 2016.
The Samsung Foldable Smartphones will be targeting ‘ultra-premium markets. When asked about the same, a Samsung representative has said "It is true that we are developing foldable Smartphones.
