Earlier this month eveleaks revealed codenames of the upcoming Nokia phones, Goldfinger, Moneypenny, Normandy, Phantom, Spinel. Now the Twitter user has posted a render of the phone. It already revealed that "Nokia Normandy is the missing link" In the latest image it says that A real Asha. Or Lumia? So the Nokia Normandy is likely to be the combination of the Asha and Lumia.
As you can see in the image above, the phone has a back button below the display, so this might be the first Asha phone with a large screen, unlike the Asha 501 which has a 3-inch display. Since the display is large, the display resolution would also be better. The phone's back is likely to be removable just like the Lumia 625 and it also has a rear camera without flash.
Along with the phone, evelaks has posted a render of a small screen Asha phone that shows a familiar Fastlane UI, hardware back button on the bottom, and a new Bing search. Earpiece is missing from the render, so this might be not be the final render. We still don't have the complete specifications of these phones.

Gionee is all set to launch the Elife E7 later today in Shanghai, China. Now the specifications of the smartphone has surfaced on a Taiwanese website along with the Elife E7 mini with a 4.7-inch 720p display. We already know that the Elife E7 would feature a Qualcomm 8974AC quad-core chip clocked at 2.5 GHz, this chip would be available only in the LTE version and the 3G variant would feature a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 chip, reveals the new leak. The phone would feature a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS touch screen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 2.33mm narrow bezel. It is rumored to feature a 16-megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone is expected to come with 2GB RAM for the 16GB variant and 3GB RAM for the 32GB variant.
The Elife E7 mini is also expected to be be launched later today, which would feature a 4.7-inch 720p display and be powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor. This would have a 13-megapixel swivel camera, just like the Oppo N1. Both these phones are expected to run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Amigo UI.

Explanation: When you delete a photo or a text file from your phone, there is nothing that's actually getting destroyed. It just indicates the Operating System that the "space" the file takes up, is available for overwriting. What does this mean? For this you need to know how a fat32 or an ext3 file system works. Most memory cards you use on your phone are either fat32 or NTFS partitioned. Yes these are technical terms that you might take time to fully understand.

Flipkart released a native Android app few months back, now the online retailer has released a new app for iPhone. The app lets you navigate through products, search using filters, read reviews, track your order and more. It is not clear when the company plans to launch an app for iPad. Flipkart launched eBooks app for Android last year and the appwas released for iPhone, iPad and Windows Phone 8 devices back in August.

Qualcomm announced its own Smartwatch - the Toq with a Mirasol display back in September, which would go on sale in the U.S. for $349.99 starting December 2nd. Now the Appscomm Fashioncomm A1 Smartwatch has used the same on its own Smartwatch. The Mirasol technology enables an always-on 1.55-inch MEMS display with the battery life lasting more number of days than a standard display. Apart from the usual set of features seen in the Smartwatch including a G-sensor for pedometer and Bluetooth, this also has a micro SIM slot to make and receive phone calls and read or send text messages.
You can also pair it with other smartphones to read the text messages and get notifications. The smartwatch has a 2-megapixel camera to capture images and record videos. It also has a built-in Bluetooth headset so that you can attend calls easily from the Smartwatch, instead of holding your hand to your mouth when attending calls. The tablet market is peculiar. It started out with a form factor of the iPad with 9.7 inches of screen real estate, and then suddenly, small tablets were all the rage, with the Kindle Fire and the Nexus 7 kickstarting the now popular form factor for tablets. Apple had to follow suit of course, with the iPad mini, and even if they wouldn't want to admit, it has definitely cannibalized the bigger iPad, as noted by the falling ASPs. It is telling that the price alone wasn't the reason(Nexus 10 is cheap too) for this form factor's success, although it played a huge role.
Microsoft was a late entrant to this market. Windows 8 was supposed to take it by storm, but with a UI focused on landscape use, 10 inch tablets entered the space and they were met with little to no interest. It is also due to the lack of interest in this big widescreen form factor, as noted earlier. Gionee has officially launched the Elife E7, the company's latest flagship smartphone at an event in Shanghai, China. It has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS touch screen display based on One Glass Solution from JDI with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 2.33mm ultra-narrow frame, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor for the 3G version and the LTE version has a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon MSM8974AC processor It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Amigo 2.0 UI.

We saw Samsung and HTC post KitKat kernel sources for their Google Play edition devices yesterday and it has naturally led to the official Android 4.4 KitKat OTA update for both the devices starting its roll out today. Google announced this officially through their Android Google+ account and it seems like the devices will start getting the update anytime now. Both the devices had their own KitKat versions ready for a while now, but the green signal has been officially lit and hence these devices now join the ranks of Nexus 5, nexus 4, 7 and Moto X as the only devices running Android 4.4 KitKat right now.
The intention of releasing Google Play edition devices of flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One was to address the concern of delayed Android updates for a various number of reasons like customization, carrier testing and more. The Micromax A116 Canvas HD was launched earlier this year, and the A116i has similar specifications as the A116. Motorola took the world by surprise when it unveiled a surprisingly capable sibling to the higher end Moto X. The Moto G as it has been dubbed, brings together a 4.5 inch 720p display, a quad core Snapdragon 400 processor and the promise of fast Android updates to deliver a very compelling experience. The phone ships with Android 4.3 JellyBean onboard but will get an update to 4.4 KitKat in the beginning of 2014. The phone ships in both 8GB and 16GB versions. Given the lack of expandable storage, we'd recommend sticking to the 16GB version.
The GSM version of the Moto G will be available starting today in the US. The CDMA variant will however go on sale starting January. Moto G is also currently on sale in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Peru, UK, Germany, France, and Canada. The phone is expected to ship in India early next year. India is also expected to get a Dual SIM along with Brazil. The phone is priced at $179 for the 8GB variant and $199 for the 16GB version.

Avid gamers will be well aware of the extremely popular Grand Theft Auto franchise. GTA San Andreas is considered as one of the best games in the series and now you get to replay it on your smartphone. Rockstar Games, the developers behind the franchise are bringing the very popular game set in the fictional city of Los Santos to all major platforms.
The game has been completely overhauled and includes remastered graphics, greater draw distance as well as an enriched color palette. Rockstar has also included enhanced character and car models in the game. The game comes with full support for controllers so you can hook up one of the myriad bluetooth controllers to your phone and enjoy GTA San Andreas. Controller support includes the Made for iOS controller capability on iOS. The game will be available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone. The Amazon Kindle too will see a version of the games. There's no word on pricing yet but it Rockstar says that the game will be available in December. Given that the previous installment of Grand Theft Auto ie Vice City is priced at $4.99 across platforms, we expect to see San Andreas to be priced about the same.

We got you an exclusive first look at the Moto G from London and now we have the Motorola Moto G Unboxing on FoneArena. The handset is a very affordable handset with some interesting specs and is actually a stripped down version of the MotoX smartphone. The Moto G features a 4.5 inch 720p display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The phone would be sold in 8GB and 16GB capacities and the actual user accessible space might be a little lesser.It ships with Android 4.3 at launch but the company is promising an update to Android 4.4 KitKat soon. Missed the "Ok Google" hotword search on your PC? The wait is finally over as Google stared rolling out a chrome extension that does the job. Still in Beta, this chrome extension from Google brings all the functionality of the hot word to the chrome browser. Although the beta is only available at "google.com" and not elsewhere.
That means if you want to use the extension, you need to switch to google.com from google.co.in or your localized Google search domain. The chrome extension can also continue the conversation just like on an Android device. This come in handy when you need to search something quickly without using the PC. One disappointing thing about the Chrome Extension is that it doesn't work when you're on another tab browsing something else. That would have changed the way people use search. For instance, if you're on another tab reading a novel and you wanted to search a word, you will have to switch to the tab running "google.com" and then say "Ok Google" which pretty much breaks the user experience.

Motorola announced the Moto G, the company's latest affordable smartphone. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphones, here we have the benchmark of the device. The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) ARM Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with Adreno 305 GPU. As you can see the CPU-Z shot above, the chip has been under clocked to 1.19GHz. This is the first smartphone to feature this particular chip. The Motorola Moto X was powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (MSM8960DT) Krait 300 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. Qualcomm announced its own Smartwatch - the Toq with a Mirasol display back in September, which would go on sale in the U.S. for $349.99 starting December 2nd. Now the Appscomm Fashioncomm A1 Smartwatch has used the same on its own Smartwatch. The Mirasol technology enables an always-on 1.55-inch MEMS display with the battery life lasting more number of days than a standard display. Apart from the usual set of features seen in the Smartwatch including a G-sensor for pedometer and Bluetooth, this also has a micro SIM slot to make and receive phone calls and read or send text messages.
You can also pair it with other smartphones to read the text messages and get notifications. The smartwatch has a 2-megapixel camera to capture images and record videos. It also has a built-in Bluetooth headset so that you can attend calls easily from the Smartwatch, instead of holding your hand to your mouth when attending calls. The tablet market is peculiar. It started out with a form factor of the iPad with 9.7 inches of screen real estate, and then suddenly, small tablets were all the rage, with the Kindle Fire and the Nexus 7 kickstarting the now popular form factor for tablets. Apple had to follow suit of course, with the iPad mini, and even if they wouldn't want to admit, it has definitely cannibalized the bigger iPad, as noted by the falling ASPs. We saw Samsung and HTC post KitKat kernel sources for their Google Play edition devices yesterday and it has naturally led to the official Android 4.4 KitKat OTA update for both the devices starting its roll out today. Motorola took the world by surprise when it unveiled a surprisingly capable sibling to the higher end Moto X. The Moto G as it has been dubbed, brings together a 4.5 inch 720p display, a quad core Snapdragon 400 processor and the promise of fast Android updates to deliver a very compelling experience. The phone ships with Android 4.3 JellyBean onboard but will get an update to 4.4 KitKat in the beginning of 2014. The phone ships in both 8GB and 16GB versions. Given the lack of expandable storage, we'd recommend sticking to the 16GB version.
The GSM version of the Moto G will be available starting today in the US. The CDMA variant will however go on sale starting January. Moto G is also currently on sale in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Peru, UK, Germany, France, and Canada. The phone is expected to ship in India early next year. India is also expected to get a Dual SIM along with Brazil. The phone is priced at $179 for the 8GB variant and $199 for the 16GB version.
Avid gamers will be well aware of the extremely popular Grand Theft Auto franchise. GTA San Andreas is considered as one of the best games in the series and now you get to replay it on your smartphone. Rockstar Games, the developers behind the franchise are bringing the very popular game set in the fictional city of Los Santos to all major platforms.
The game has been completely overhauled and includes remastered graphics, greater draw distance as well as an enriched color palette. Missed the "Ok Google" hotword search on your PC? The wait is finally over as Google stared rolling out a chrome extension that does the job. Still in Beta, this chrome extension from Google brings all the functionality of the hot word to the chrome browser. Although the beta is only available at "google.com" and not elsewhere.
That means if you want to use the extension, you need to switch to google.com from google.co.in or your localized Google search domain. The chrome extension can also continue the conversation just like on an Android device. This come in handy when you need to search something quickly without using the PC. One disappointing thing about the Chrome Extension is that it doesn't work when you're on another tab browsing something else. That would have changed the way people use search. For instance, if you're on another tab reading a novel and you wanted to search a word, you will have to switch to the tab running "google.com" and then say "Ok Google" which pretty much breaks the user experience.

Motorola announced the Moto G, the company's latest affordable smartphone. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphones, here we have the benchmark of the device. The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) ARM Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with Adreno 305 GPU. As you can see the CPU-Z shot above, the chip has been under clocked to 1.19GHz. This is the first smartphone to feature this particular chip.
