LG announced their latest flagship, LG G2 during early August. G2 is one of the first smartphones to come with a Snapdragon 800 SoC. Among the many features, that LG introduced in their new flagship, one of the key aspects was that the 13-megapixel camera on the G2 comes with Optical Image Stabilization(OIS). The camera on LG G2 looks pretty good and we have camera samples right here. The LG G2 can shoot up to a maximum resolution of 4160 x 3120 pixels. In terms of video recording capabilities, the LG G2 has the 1080p Full HD 60fps recording mode which isn't quite common. Also, the Snapdragon 800 SoC is capable of 4K video capture and record, but the LG G2 does not let the users capture 4K videos like the Galaxy Note 3. The 1080p videos shot at 60 fps are quite amazing as well. In addition to the 13MP rear camera, there is also a 2.1MP camera at the front which shoots 1080p videos as well. You can check out the camera samples right below. We have shot various photos in daylight and you can judge the camera quality of the LG G2 for yourselves. Zen Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD is one among the Full HD phablets that has been launched in India. Zen Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD is different from the other phones in terms of build quality as it borrows its looks from Google Nexus 4. The Zen Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD is quite a looker as it has glass on the back and a pattern beneath it. The sides of the phone are different and it is curved. The curved sides of the phone make it quite easy to hold on to and feels very comfortable in the hand. The quality of the materials used nicely complements the design language and the phone does not feel heavy at all. The power lock key on the right side and the volume rocker on the left side are made of plastic, but offer nice feedback and feel solid. On the front, above the display, we have the 8MP front facing camera that comes with auto-focus on the right side of the earpiece. Below the display, we have the traditional capacitive touch keys for home button, back and options. On the back side, we have a 13MP camera on the top along with a LED flash towards ...

Google Places API brings out Autocomplete for better predictions

Google as a part of improving their continuing effort to help 3rd party developers, has brought out Google Places Autocomplete to make things easier for developers to add location awareness to their applications. What does this mean for developers? Well, by adding location-awareness to your application it bring tons of value and joy to the users. The Places API Autocomplete service, a feature of Google Places API and the Google Maps API v3’s Places Library, brings the same type-ahead-search technology from Google Maps to third party apps, helping you soothe some of the users’ address entry frustration. To make autocomplete even more accurate and useful, Google updates automatically, biases predictions towards the user’s location based on the requester’s IP address. That means, results that are closer to the user will appear sooner in the API’s responses, saving users even more keystrokes and time. For example a calendar app like Sunrise, where editing and adding locations quickly is important, this feature comes in handy. Google also provides a handy CSS guide to help developers add their own design and style to the Autocomplete widgets. Interested developers can go ahead and check out the Developer Documentation to learn more about this.

Spice is known for making quality hardware at affordable prices. With the Pinnacle FHD, the company is aiming for the upper reaches of the mid range device market. The specifications line up well enough for the handset but is it enough to earn our recommendation? Read on to find out. Design The phone has a design that stands out from that of the average budget priced smartphone. The entire device has a dual tone finish in black and white that looks surprisingly good. The quality of plastics used is top notch and the ergonomics are great. Above the display is the front facing 2MP camera unit. The display is a 5inch Full HD panel that occupies most of the front of the phone. Bezels on the sides are fairly slim but there's considerable usage of space above and below the screen. [gallery ids="84859,84862,84858"] There's a very cool looking chrome finish border that runs around the phone. The right side has the power button while the left side sports the volume rocker. Tactile feedback is generally satisfactory though the buttons don't feel very reassuring. A 3.5mm audio jack is placed at the top of the phone. Over at the back of the phone is an 8MP camera ...

Bought yourself a spanking new Galaxy Gear? Then you'll want to update to the latest edition of the Gear Manager application as it brings with it a very major improvement. You can now enable practically all notifications from your phone to be displayed on your wrist. This has been a major issue for early adopters and it is good to see that Samsung has fixed this with the update. The latest update to the Gear Manager app lets you select apps for which you want to push updates and can also include previews for email, Hangouts messages. While this goes a long way in improving the utility of Samsung's smart watch, we feel that there's a lot more that needs to be fixed before it goes mainstream. The single day battery life and high cost are both very real deterrents in adoption of the Galaxy Gear but fast updates by Samsung should definitely help. The Galaxy Gear smartwatch retails for Rs. 22,990 in India and is compatible with Samsung devices like the Note 3, Galaxy S4, S3, Note 2 as well as the S4 Active, Galaxy S4 mini, Mega 6.3, Mega 5.8, and S4 Zoom. Samsung revealed its roadmap for its future products at the Analyst Day 2013 earlier this year. The roamap revealed that Samsung would launch bendable and foldable displays in future after the launch of Galaxy Round with a curved display. Now Bloomberg reports that new Galaxy smartphone coming next year with a display that wraps around the edges.  The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) filing that Samsung filed earlier this week shows a device that wraps around frontward and provides extra display space on its sides. The patent image shows side displays with icons for music player, ebooks and more serving these functions and the front-most display used for primary activity. The phone will reportedly be using an upgraded version of Youm display technology from Samsung. This would let each side of the display operate independently. These details are yet to be confirmed by Samsung. The new display might be used on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S or Note series. We might also see this in a complete new series. Samsung Galaxy smartphone with three-sided wraparound display is expected to release second half of 2014.

It is not clear if this would feature a Ultrapixel camera or 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera similar to the HTC One. According to earlier to rumored the HTC M8 would also have a unibody construction, and the body would be wrapping around the sides too, unlike the HTC One. Earlier rumors also revealed that the phone would pack 3 GB of RAM, run on Sense 6 UI with new features that are available on the Sense 5.5 and even a fingerprint sensor since the leaked pictures revealed a finger print sensor, smaller than the one on the One Max. No word about the memory or the battery capacity yet. The HTC One took about three months to release after first leak back in December 2012. The HTC M8 is also expected to launch ahead of the MWC 2014 in February, one year after the HTC One.
