Android 4.2 Jellybean brought along the concept of Wireless Display through Miracast to the smartphone market. Wireless Display technology lets you directly stream your content on a device to either a TV or Monitor with HDMI input. The Netgear Push2TV is on close lines with Google Chromecast. The Netgear Push2TV is available for US $59.99 and roughly putting it in INR, it amounts to Rs. 3500 which makes it quite a costly purchase. The Push2TV PTV3000 is compatible with Miracast and WiFi Direct. Design, Build  The Netgear Push2TV PTV3000 is a small box that comes with a miniUSB port and a HDMI port at the back. The black box has a Netgear branding at the top and a small LED notification light on the front side. Plantronics Backbeat Go 2 Review: Convenience with a Dash of Magic

When the Plantronics Backbeat Go were announced, more than a year ago, they instantly piqued my interest. They were everything I wanted in a pair of earbuds: wireless, bluetooth-enabled, simple, and in-ear. And the idea that a pair of earphones could just be connected with one wire, no added main unit, no bulk, no connectors, nothing dangling from your head to your phone or clothes or pocket, seemed a little bit like magic. Countless times I found myself wandering off to Amazon and almost clicking that "Buy" button but I kept telling myself that I should just wait for the second generation. So when the Plantronics Backbeat Go 2 came along, I was more than ecstatic. I had been using a Sony Ericsson MW-600 for a few months, and although it had been a great music and podcast companion, I was yearning for the convenience of the Backbeat Go 2 — and that added touch of magic! I finally received a Go 2 unit for review last week, and I have been using it ever since. Does it work as advertized? How does it compare to other bluetooth units? And what are its strengths and weaknesses? I'll explain it all in my review ...

Twitter introduced a closed beta at the end of August, now the app has received a major update that brings a completely new UI with separate tabs for Home, Notifications, Messages, Activity, Trending, Find People and Me. You can swipe to switch between these apps. There is also a Navigation menu for these with notification count that could be re-organized. It uses your Twitter background image as the background for this menu. These is also in-line image previews that could be disabled from the settings. Twitter got a major update back in April that brought HOLO UI, now the new beta version with a UI refresh has been released in few months of time. The widget is still the same and the app is not optimized for tablets. Since the beta version is out the final version might not be far away. Since Twitter is updating the iOS app simultaneously, it might also get a new UI once the final app is available. Looks like Twitter closed the option to join the Google Group to try out the beta app. Anyway, you can grab the APK (via Android Police) and side-load it to try out the updated Twitter app.

LG device with the codename – LG D820 has passed the FCC for approval last week, now images of the same device has been spotted in the FCC filings. First spotted by PhoneScoop, these images look similar to the upcoming Nexus device spotted in the official video that surfaced last week with a large camera. However this doesn't have a Nexus branding on the back, since this might be a prototype device for testing. The phone has a 4.96-inch screen, according to the filing and has WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, NFC and packs a 2,300mAh battery. Last week's FCC documentation revealed that the phone would feature a MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 SoC and run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Since the G2 has 2GB RAM, this might feature same amount of RAM. The Google Nexus 4 was was launched back in November last year along with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Hope we can expect the Google Nexus 5 soon along with the Android 4.4 (KitKat) which might bring lot of new features. Source

One of the biggest issues with using a satellite navigation (sat-nav) in your car is that you need to find a way to attach the suction cup to the windscreen so you can see the information displayed without the sat-nav being a distraction whilst you're driving. If you're using a sat-nav on your mobile device, you have the same issue with the added distraction of possible calls and messages diverting your attention away from the road. Surely there's a better way? Well Garmin have come up with just the thing and at IFA 2013, we went hands on with the new Garmin Heads-Up-Display (also known as the Garmin HUD). The Garmin HUD brings a unique dashboard companion for Garmin or Navigon sat-nav software running on your smartphone and allows you to display the directional information on your dashboard. The Garmin HUD displays the same information you'd find on your normal sat-nav display. This includes lane guidance, distance to next change, the current time and speed awareness. If you have subscribed to the traffic or camera alerts, it will also display these on the reflective display. The Garmin HUD works in one of two ways - you can either connect the plastic shield to display information on ...

LG announced their first tablet in nearly two years at IFA 2013 in Berlin - LG G Pad 8.3. The G Pad 8.3 has its design language from the company's current flagship, G2 and has a very big 8.3inch display. We managed to get our hands on the LG G Pad 8.3 and do check out that video right below. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AosOVdjrIZA The G Pad 8.3 looks like a bigger version of the G2 from the front, but at the back, things get pretty interesting as LG G Pad 8.3 is equipped with a dual-material finish. Nokia was testing Android on its Lumias before the Microsoft acquisition, could it have worked out?

This has been blowing up on the Internet for the past few hours. New York Times reporter Nick Wingfield initially had this scoop that Nokia was testing Android on its Lumia range of devices as a "Plan B" if Windows Phone completely fails to take off. Yes, Nokia was indeed testing Android on its Lumias and it is speculated that it might have been a possibility in light of growing tensions between the two companies, with Microsoft failing to deliver features at a pace Nokia wanted it to. It is believed that this would have played a role in pushing Microsoft to acquire Nokia, but not a huge one, as insiders say that Microsoft was aware of this early on in the partnership. In a nutshell, Nokia was testing Android on its Lumia phones as plan B. That said, today morning Tom Warren from the Verge brings us new information that Nokia was also looking at options to switch to Android in the low end, with the Asha range. Apparently, there was a team of people tasked with testing Android on its low end devices, running a project codenamed "MView" a short form for Mountain View, a place where Google HQ ...
