Remember the crazy WCG-10 wireless server from Sony? They have released a successor to it, but it now looks a lot slimmer, just like the Xperia devices. At first glance one would think it is actually the back of a Xperia device. A quick recap of what it does it, it's a portable solution that can connect wirelessly to your smartphone and back-up files, or even let you access the files already in the server and play it back. Pretty interesting concept, that is possibly better explained in a video - httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQAgFYufDDE The main features of the new Sony WG-C20 are - Just slip in an SD card to wirelessly play and share content NFC for easy one-touch wireless connection with your phone Charges your smartphone or tablet’s battery Play content on DLNA-enabled TVs or home audio devices Share files with up to 8 other wireless users simultaneously, with easy, secure access control Slim, colourful looks style-matched to new Xperia™ phone In a nutshell, the WG-C20 is all about storing your photos wirelessly, with a portable solution. Now that the new one is extremely slimmer(9mm) than the old WCG-10, the product makes much more sense for continuous back up or just wireless streaming. This is also the first Sony ...

Samsung Galaxy Gear Hands On

Much has been leaked about Samsung's Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Today at the Unpacked Event in Berlin, we finally got a chance to see for ourselves if the Korean giant's first efforts to enter into the world of wearables would be something special and here are our first impressions of the Samsung Galaxy Gear. Shaped like a conventional watch, the Gear is chunky to say the least. It might not be the most visually appealing smartwatch but it's not an eye sore either. The front is essentially a 1.63 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 320 x 320. Video Demo httpv://youtu.be/SlblVQIU5xw To the right of it is a single button that lets you move up a menu page or head back to the home pane. Placed next to the Pebble smartwatch, the Gear definitely looks large but then it also packs a lot more under the hood. Surrounding the display is a metal band that looks surprisingly good. On the flipside, it makes the pretty large watch equally heavy. Pure aesthetics apart, we feel that the metal band around the display should also help dissipate any heat generated by the 800Mhz processor. The Gear has a 1.9MP autofocus capable camera built into the side ...
