SwiftKey released v4.2 Cloud Beta few weeks back with backup and sync and trending phrases feature. Now the company has released an update to the app that brings lot of improvements and bug fixes. These fixes includes better responsiveness for flow predictions, crash fixes in cloud preference and Gmail personalization and lots more. Even though there are lot of fixes, it also has some known issues, which would eventually be fixed in the final release.

Samsung today announced support for 9 Indian languages for their Galaxy smartphones and tablets. This would let the Samsung smartphone users to access the user interface and content in these languages. The 9 Indian languages include, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati. These Indian languages will be supported on Galaxy Grand, Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Tab 3 starting from today.
This would let customers access applications from Samsung Application Store in their preferred Indian language in different categories such as entertainment, games, business and more. Bharat Matrimony, India property, Times of India, BSE and Mydala and lots more application would soon be available in these Indian languages. There are lot of applications such as Newshunt, Chaton and more that are available in regional languages. Facebook and Facebook messenger would also be available for select Samsung devices in 9 Indian languages.
Samsung says that they will not work with content providers, but will develop an ecosystem with app developers to let customers experience the apps in their favorites language. During Q1 earnings conference call BlackBerry announced that it would release a phone running OS 7 later this year, even though they have moved to the BlackBerry 10. It was also leaked last month. Google released the new Nexus 7 manufactured by Asus last month. We brought you the unboxing of the device last week, here we have the benchmarks of the device. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ8064) CPU and Adreno 320 GPU and has 2GB of RAM. The first Nexus was powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 GPU and had 1GB of RAM. Rumors are floating high about who will be producing the next Nexus device. Earlier this year, we had rumors that LG would be the one to produce it, but recent rumors indicate that Motorola would be doing it. But new reports from South Korean website, MyDrivers point to LG as the producer of next Nexus.
The most interesting claim about the rumor is that it claims that Nexus 5 will be available for the same price as the Nexus 4 - starting from $299. The Nexus 4 was based on LG Optimus G and the Nexus 5 is expected to be based on LG G2 which is the successor of Optimus G. But in order to make the Nexus 5, it won't be sharing all the features of the G2. The Nexus 5 is expected to pack a Snapdragon 600 SoC, 2GB RAM and 10MP camera but will retain the Full HD display from G2. The size of the display is still not sure according to the rumors.
The G2, being LG's flagship has Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB RAM and a 13MP camera with OIS and 5.2inch Full HD display with almost no bezels. One more doubt that remains over the Nexus ...
Just yesterday, we brought you that HTC have official signed Robert Downey Jr for their $1 billion "Change" campaign. Not a day has passed, but we have a leaked video of an Ad starring Robert Downey Jr which HTC has teased in 15 second segments.
The main aim of roping in Robert Downey Jr was to add the cool factor, but after seeing the video, we couldn't quite say that. The Ad starts with RDJ storming into a Board meeting and spelling out an acronym for HTC which he does quite a lot during the Ad. The next scene is near a boat park where someone yet again delivers a HTC acronym. RDJ is seen dancing near a carwash with another of those HTC acronyms. The whole ad is about the various acronyms for HTC.

Lava has launched the Iris 356 and the Iris 402 that went on sale online earlier this month. The Iris 356 has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Lava Iris 402 packs a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display. Other features are similar to the Iris 402. These have 3G support, Dual SIM with dual standby, rear and front-facing cameras.

iBall has launched the Slide i9018, a new tablet in the Slide series. It has a has a 9-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capactive multi-touch IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2. (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with Bluetooth support and an HDMI support, but it doesn't have a SIM card slot.
The Karbonn Smart Tab 9 that was released last year had a 9-inch display, but we don't have any competition in this range right now.

Tata DOCOMO, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices has launched Freedom offer in Andhra Pradesh just in time for the Independence Day. This would let 2G pre-paid customers enjoy 1947 MB of 2G data on recharge of Rs. 32. This offer is available to all GSM pre-paid customers on 2G network. Usually the Rs. 32 pack offers just 600 MB of data. Other operators are yet to announce their Independence Day offers.

Google's Nexus program is aimed at providing an Android experience the way the California based company meant it to be. Now in its second iteration, the Nexus 7 manufactured by Asus is sharper, faster and just a bit more expensive. Does it still pack the same value and punch that made the original perhaps the best Android tablet on the market ? Read on to find out.
Design
The new Nexus 7 has been designed by Google and ASUS with a focus on familiarity but it doesn't mean that there are no improvements. All around you'll see subtle and some not so subtle tweaks that enhance the experience for the most part. The dimensions come in at 200x114x8.7mm which makes it slightly taller but both slimmer and narrower than the original. Even the weight has dropped down to 290 grams which definitely makes it very handy for long term use.
The tablet is all black all around and the quality of materials used is very good. Over at the front you'll spot a 7 inch display with very narrow bezels. 3D Home for Android is a new 3D home screen launcher. This offers 3D experience including customization, different menu interface, scroll-able dock and lots more.
