Angry Birds has long been a staple game on most smartphones, and with increasing number of people using it on different device, the necessity of game save transfers were clear. Rovio acknowledged this need, and announced that they are releasing their own cloud service called Rovio account, which can save your game progress with a sign-in, and roam the saves through various devices you use. This has finally launched today, on iOS and Android. Initially supporting only the original Angry Birds and The Croods(which had it already), Rovio promises to work on adding it to all its other games real soon.

You just need an e-mail ID for a Rovio account. Once you create a password and log in to your account, your game saves are automatically synced to your account, just like how roaming saves work on consoles. Additionally, you can also have multiple users, which is expected because most children play this on their parents' devices, good going Rovio.

Motorola has started sending out invites to the media in the U.S. for the Moto X press event scheduled on August 1st in New York City . The company officially teased the phone earlier this month as the first smartphone that you can design yourself. It also said that Designed by you . Assembled in the USA. Earlier this week Motorola posted a photo of the phone being assembled in the USA, so the phone may go on sale in the U.S soon after the launch.
Even though the specifications of the device was already leaked by the evleaks, The Verge has confirmed that the phone would feature a 4.5 inch display (probably 720p according to earlier leaks), a dual-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon dual-core MSM8960T processor, 2GB of RAM, and a removable Kevlar rear shell. As Android 4.3 has yet to be available, the phone runs a near stock version of Android 4.2.2.

Samsung launched a similar Smart upgrade offer for the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S4. Sony launched the Xperia Z and the ZL in India earlier this year. Both these phones have a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Xperia Z comes with IP55 and IP57 ratings for dust and water resistance and the Xperia ZL lacks the feature.
The Xperia Z and ZL are priced at Rs. 38,790 and Rs. 35,690, so need to pay just Rs. 33,790 and Rs. 30,690 after Rs. 5,000 discount upon exchange. Karbonn A29, a new Android smartphone is now available from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.7-inch (960 × 540 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs a 2000 mAh battery, but no details about the RAM yet. It has 3G data connectivity and Dual SIM support with dual standby. Wish it had a quad-core processor since most of the competitors offer a quad-core processor in this price range.

The leaker @evleaks in back again with a press shot of the upcoming redesigned Google Nexus 7 made by Asus. The new Nexus 7 looks a lot thinner from the image but it is very hard to tell from the angle. You can see the front with the display with the onscreen buttons like on the current Nexus 7. On the rear you can see a relatively larger camera along with the Nexus branding. This is not the first time we are hearing about this product and it was leaked a lot in recent times.
You can also spot a notification light below the display.The front facing camera is placed to the right of the screen.

Idea Cellular has launched Campus Card in the Delhi & NCR region aimed at college students that offers talk time, data, SMS and discounted calling. This would let them stay in touch with their friends and family for 30 paisa a minute (Local Idea to Idea). Both Vodafone and Aircel had launched similar packs aimed at college students earlier this month.
The Idea Campus Card recharge is price at Rs. 79 and comes with talk time worth Rs. 30. Other benefits include, 400 MB of data, 100 local or national SMSes. Apart from local on-net (Idea to Idea) calls at 30 paise per minute it also offers other calls (local or STD) at 40 paisa a minute. The Campus Card comes with a validity of 1 month.
This would definitely be useful not only for college students, but also for other younger generation. Other operators are yet to announce such packs.
Apple is testing a new iPad with a larger display that is slightly less than 13 inches and a iPhone with a screen larger than 4-inches diagonally, according to a recent report from the Wall Street Journal. There were rumors about a 12.9-inch iPad and a 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch iPhones. Apple has stuck with 9.7‑inch display since the first iPad. The 3rd generation iPad featured a 2048 by 1536 resolution retina display, but the size remained the same.
Since the iPhone 5 had a 4-inch display that differs from the previous-gen iPhones, there are chances that Apple might introduce an iPad with a larger screen than the current ones. Apple introduced the iPad mini with a 7.9-inch display last year. Not sure if the large screen iPad would be called iPad Maxi according to earlier rumors. Since Apple tests several prototypes before their release, it is not clear whether we would see a 13-inch iPad.
WSJ also reports that suppliers are preparing to ramp up production of a new iPad later this month and the new version is expected to be 9.7-inch screen with same retina display, but with a lighter and thinner display that integrates touch sensors with a thin film instead of glass. Nokia has just teased in their official Conversations blog that "something BIG" is coming tomorrow. The blog usually teases phones ahead of launch with clear cut titles, like "Zoom in" for the Lumia 1020, "Steel yourself for the next instalment" for the Lumia 925, and similarly, we think that "Something BIG" is meant for the first 4.7 inch Nokia - the Lumia 625. In a very quick tease they have said that they are launching the Lumia 625 tomorrow at 9 A.M UK time, which is 02:30 P.M IST tomorrow for us. Will there be details we actually don't know about, yet? We'll see, but there was a specific leak earlier that leads us to believe that it is indeed the Lumia 625.
The above picture recently passed through the Chinese certification center for mobile phones and we believe that it is genuine. As you can notice above, the device sports a large screen, even larger that the Lumia 920's 4.5 inch screen and a surprisingly short bezel on the sides. Earlier today evleaks leaked the press shots of the New Google Nexus 7. Now Android Police has leaked the press images of the tablet that shows off a new wallpaper. This might be the default wallpaper in the Android 4.3 says the website. Unlike the first Nexus 7 tablet, this has a LED notification light and a rear camera. It would also feature a SlimPort similar to the Nexus 4, but it lacks the pogo pins for the docking station that was present in last year's Nexus 7. Looking at the leaked press shots, this tablet is also expected to come with a matte finish similar to the first Nexus 7.
According to earlier leaks the new Nexus 7 is expected to come with a 7-inch full HD display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It would feature a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera and comes with 16/32GB internal memory. No details about the RAM or whether we would see a LTE-variant of the device yet, but earlier rumored suggested a LTE variant.

We just saw Nokia tease the Lumia 625 yesterday. Canonical, the company behind the highly popular Linux Distro has revealed its plans for a cutting edge high end smartphone running the Ubuntu OS for smartphones. The OS, formally launched at the Mobile World Congress(which we went hands on with) was in the alpha stage and a demo had been made available for some Android devices too, but it was never ready to be a daily driver. Nokia has unveiled 3 new headsets Boom (WH-530), Knock (WH-520) and Pop (WH-510) in partnership with Zound Industries under Coloud brand. The Boom and the Knock are On-ear headsets, while the Pop is an In-ear headset. All these headsets come in Yellow, Red and Blue colors. Samsung has unveiled an upgraded Exynos 5420 Octa chip as they announced last week. The new Exynos Chip is faster that the previous 5410 chip that was announced at the CES 2012 earlier this year. The Exynos 5420 Octa chip has fours Cortex A15 chips clocked at 1.8 GHz and four Cortex A7 chips running at 1.3 GHz in a big.LITTLE processing implementation. The first Exynos 5410 Octa chip used in the global variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is also based on Samsung’s ARM big.LITTLE architecture with four Cortex A15 chips clocked at 1.6 GHz and four Cortex A7 chips running at 1.2 GHz.
The main difference between these chips is the GPU. The Exynos 5410 Octa used a tri-core PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU and the new 5420 Octa uses a six-core ARM Mali T628 MP6 GPU. Samsung claims that the CPU performance would be 20 percent greater and the GPU performance would be two times greater than the first Exynos 5 Octa chip.
