LG G4 possible renders surface

Both Samsung and HTC have unveiled their flagship smartphones for this year. Now it's time for LG. Alleged press shots of the LG G4 smartphone have been leaked by french website nowhereelse.fr, but it says that these are not finalized versions. According to these images, the G4 smartphone will have a slightly curved body inspired from the LG G Flex. It has slightly protruding camera sensor on the back along with dual LED flash and laser auto focus. As usual there are power button and volume rockers below the camera module. It is also rumored to come with a fingerprint sensor, which could be located under the power button. The loudspeaker grill is present on the bottom part of the back. It is expected have a removable back cover, similar to the LG G3. According to rumors the dimensions of the smartphone will be 148.9 x 76.5x 9.9mm, making it slightly thicker than the G3. It is expected to come with 5.3 to 5.7 inches screen with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels or 2880x1620 pixels, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor S810, 3GB of RAM and 16-megapixel or a 20.7-megapixel rear camera. Google likely to include ‘Multi-Window’ support in future Android updates

It seems like Google might add a Multi-Window' support in future Android updates. The possibility of the new feature has been spotted on Google's AOSP framework commit. AOSP framework code commit shows Google using multi-window support. Multi-windows support allows users to perform more than one task such as watching a video while taking notes or performing searches on the web. Samsung Galaxy series offers multi-window feature that  lets users access two or more apps at the same time on a smartphone or a tablet. A multi window support could be a good addition to Android but there is no other information about the feature and if or when Google is planning to introduce it. At present all we have is a glimpse of the code about the multi-window.

Google likely to buy mobile ad firm InMobi

Google is looking forward to buy mobile ad firm InMobi according to a report from The Economic Times. The tech giant is said to be in early talks with the Bangalore based mobile ad firm InMobi has been eyeing for a valuation in excess of $2 billion (approximately Rs 12,500 crore). The report said that the talks between the duo started in September last year and Google had not yet detailed its terms and conditions for the deal. Founded in 2007, InMobi, helps companies target phones and mobile devices in their advertising and claims to have over 1 billion users across 200 countries. The move from Google can be touted as a step to boost its presence in the highly demanding mobile ad space. Facebook has been a competitor for Google has the social network earns major of its revenue via advertising. Big companies like Facebook and Twitter have already made an Indian acquisition with Little Eye Lab and Zip Dial and now it looks Google will also do the same.

Opera adds bookmark syncing to Android, iOS and Web

Opera has added a new bookmark syncing to its browser across desktop and mobile devices. The bookmark synchronization has been available in developer and beta versions of the app already. Android Wear could get gesture control and WiFi support in new update

Android Wear is expected to get a couple of important features in next update, as per a report from The Verge. The new update will bring gesture control and WiFi support to Android Wear. WiFi support will allow your Android Wear device to connect directly to a WiFi network and no longer be solely dependent on a tethered phone. Users can perform most functions like Google searches and deliver notifications It must be noted that Most of the Android Wear smartwatches currently available in the market already have Wi-Fi built in so the update should be easy to roll. The report  also says that the update will bring gesture support, which will allow scrolling of notifications, Google Now Cards, and other screens to be done without making contact with the devices screen by just a flick of the wrist. World’s first Google store launches in London

Apple already have several around the world, Samsung are getting in on the act and Microsoft have their stores in the US as well so it's only fitting that the world's number one search company, Google, has joined in the act with the opening of its first global retail store in London. The store - based inside the Currys PC World store on Tottenham Court Road in London - will sell Android devices as well as other Google products including Chromebooks and Chromecasts. Like Apple's own retail offer, The Google Shop will also offer tutorials on Google products - presumably including a push to get visitors to use Google+ - and also offer demonstrations of Google Apps for Business to business customers. From our time in China with Huawei, we already knew that an Android Wear smartwatch was in the works but when it was finally revealed, we realised that this wasn't your average Android Wear smartwatch. Since the launch of the Huawei Watch, we've seen Apple reveal the pricing and styles of the Apple Watch - including the ridiculously expensive 18k gold version - and now we're hearing about the Huawei Watch's price. UK retailer Mobile Fun has opened pre-orders for the Huawei watch, with the silver and black versions costing £300 and the more-premium gold version costing £350. The pricing is slightly more than German retailer, Billinger, who has listed the Huawei Watch at €349 (Rs.23000), with the gold version costing €50 more at €399 (Rs.26400). Google has taken wraps off the new Chromebook Pixel, a high end notebook that runs on Chrome OS. Similar to the original design, the new Chromebook Pixel sports an aluminium design. Snapdeal eyeing Freecharge acquisition for Rs 2,800 Cr

Snapdeal is looking forward to buy online mobile recharge platform Freecharge, according to a report from The Economic Times. The deal is expected to be sealed at Rs 2,800 Cr ($450M). One of the sources told the publication that the two companies have signed off on the deal which will be a combination of about 40% cash and the (balance) in stock. Snapdeal competes with Flipkart and Amazon and the acquisition will give Snapdeal a much needed push. If this is a done deal it will the largest in Indian e-commerce and internet market. Flipkart acquired Myntra for more than $300 million last year in May. Founded in 2010, Freecharge raised $80 million in funding last month while it acquired offline app store Preburn for an undisclosed sum. In October last year, Snapdeal secured a funding on $627 million from SoftBank. Earlier this week, a Reuters report stated that Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba is in talks with Indian online marketplace Snapdeal over a potential cash investment.  A recent report from eMarketer revealed last month that eCommerce sales in India are expected to grow by 45 per cent to $7.69 billion in 2015.

Google said to bring USB Type-C to future Android phones

Google has announced that it will bring USB Type-C support to future Android phones. Product manager, at Google Adam Rodriguez said that the the company was committed to the new spec and that future Chromebooks and Android phones could see its adoption in the near future. Earlier today, Google unveiled a new model of the Chromebook pixel which also sports the USB Type -C that Apple introduced to the newly launched MacBooks this week. USB Type-C cables will be able transfer data at a top speed of 10 gigabits per second, according to the USB Implementers Forum. The USB Type-C is reversible and allows users to plug it anyway.
