ZTE has launched Grand S II in India at Rs 13,999. Available exclusively on Amazon.in, the Grand S II sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display and is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
The dual SIM phone has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. It has a 2GB RAM with inbuilt storage capacity of 16 GB which can be further added with extra 32 GB. Running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the phone has ZTE's Mifavor UI running on top and motion control gestures. Connectivity options on the phone includes 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and USB. Xolo has launched Opus 3, the company's latest smartphone in the Opus series It has a 5-inch HD display, powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony Exmor R sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degree wide-angle lens for better selfies.
It has 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expansion slots and packs a 2500mAh battery, similar to the Xolo Opus HD that was unveiled last month. The Opus HD got a price cut to Rs. 8,499, recently.

HTC has announced two new Dual SIM smartphones - Desire 620 dual SIM and Desire 620G dual SIM for Taiwan after the Desire 620 leaked recently. Both these have a 5-inch HD IPS display, run on Android 4.4 Kitkat with HTC Sense 6 UI on top, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording, HTC EYE experience and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a BSI sensor.
The main difference is the processor and connectivity. The HTC Desire 620 dual SIM is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor and has 4G LTE support, whereas the Desire 620G dual SIM packs a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor and has 3G connectivity. Last week it was reported that Sony is working on a e-paper smartwatch. The company has confirmed that it is behind the e-ink watch technology, to the Wall Street Journal.
The e-paper watch is dubbed as FES watch and is a product of Sony's Fashion Entertainment startup project. The report stated that it is a subdivision of the Sony that will examine how electronic paper can be used to create fashionable wearable tech products. As reported earlier, the FES watch focuses on style rather than functionality and wide range of features. The face and band of the watch are made of e-paper and hence they will work as display.

The electronic paper concept is not restricted to only watches, as the company is also said to be working on a bow tie made of the same material. One of the special features of the watch will be its flexible design that changes depending on your gestures and movements. The strap of the watch can be changed and choosen from patterns like mock metal or faux leather. It is expected to last for about 60 days on a single charge.

Android 5.0 Lollipop update has started rolling out to LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition. The tablet had received Android KitKat 4.4 update in June.
As the tablet is a GPE device, the Lollipop update is similar to Google Nexus tablets. As a result of the Android 5.0 update, the LG G Pad 8.3 will receive Material Design user interface elements. It also brings lock screen notifications, a new battery saving mode, and features like Priority Mode and Smart Lock.

Samsung revealed that mobile chief J K Shin will retain his position in spite of falling profits. The company dismissed speculations of dropping the head of its under performing mobile division.
The company's mobile business head J.K. Shin, the chief of the company’s consumer electronics unit, B.K. Yoon and the current chief executive for the component business, Kwon Oh-hyun, will all maintain their positions. Samsung posted a 50-percent drop in third-quarter net profit, following a 20 percent drop in the previous quarter.
Samsung Group senior vice president Lee June stated that Shin was “a major contributor in Samsung Electronics’ emergence as the top global player in the handsets business” and would be given an opportunity to turn the business around. Samsung will make a separate announcement on other management-level changes some time this week.

More details about the Apple's iPad Air Plus have been leaked by Japanese Mac Fan. The magazine has got hold of the schematics of the the rumored large tablet from Apple.
According to the image, Apple's giant tablet would include a 12.2-inch screen and would measure 305.3 x 220.8 x 7mm. It will be powered by A9 processor which is an upgrade from the current A8X offering that powers the iPad Air 2. In addition, the tablet is said to have dual top and bottom speakers to allow for improved stereo audio. The report also says that Apple is working on iPad Mini 4 that will have a design similar to Apple iPad Air 2.
The tablet might also get the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. Last month, it was reported that Apple will launch the iPad Pro with similar features as mentioned for the iPad Air Plus. Mac Fan suggests that Apple will launch the device at some point between April and June of next year.

AirDroid 3, the popular web based management app has released its latest version that is live for beta testing. The recent update also brings new settings and features.
AirDroid 2 web management tool allowed users to access their android device for users to access their Android device for files, contacts, photos and other functions from any browser with a login system. However, the version 3 comes with the standalone desktop manager which can be used for Windows and OS X platforms.

LG announced the G Watch R, the company’s second Android Wear smartwatch and the successor of the G Watch recently. It went on sale in the U.S. on Google Play recently for $299. Google is working on a newer model of Google Glass that will have Intel chips, according to a latest report from The Wall Street Journal. The company at present uses chips powered by Texas Instruments and plans to replace them next year.
The report said that the Intel plans to promote Glass to hospital networks and manufacturers. It is also a step from Intel to enter the wearable market along with Internet of Things. Intel’s chips are mostly used in personal computers and servers in data centers, but the company has targeted the tablet and wearable markets for new power-efficient versions of its x86-based processors. It competes with rivals such as ARM and Texas Instruments.
Currently, it is not known what kind of processors will Intel supply Google for the Glass. The report did not stated when will the Intel powered Google Glass hit the markets but it is due sometime in 2015.
