OnePlus already announced that it will launch the OnePlus One smartphone in India by this December. Last month the company said that Indian users will require India-specific invites to purchase the smartphone. Yesterday Amazon India started teasing a new smartphone with the hashtag TheOneThing along with an image, which clearly shows that it's the OnePlus smartphone that is coming soon exclusively on Amazon. [HTML1] If the smartphone is going to be released on Amazon, it is not clear how the India-specific invites will work. The company recently said that it will be working with a local partner and also said that the invites will also be available through OnePlus forums and social media channels. Chinese manufacturer Huawei have been producing handsets for many years (both as white-label for companies and under their own name) but one area where the company has particularly struggled is adoption of devices bearing its name in European and American markets. Earlier this year they announced the new Honor 6 smartphone for Europe and whilst it shares many hallmarks of other Huawei devices such as the Ascend P6, it does drop the Huawei branding. How does this smartphone designed for Europe compare with the phablet behemoth that is the Samsung Galaxy Note 4? Whilst the Galaxy Note 4 has a specs list to rival any handset, Huawei have set their sights a little lower with the Honor 6. Unlike the Galaxy Note 4 which has a 5.6 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, the Honor 6 comes with a 5.0 inch Full HD 1080p IPS LCD display offer 445 pixels per inch density (versus 515 ppi on the Galaxy Note 4). On the back both handsets have reasonable snappers with the Galaxy Note 4 sporting a 16MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation and LED flash whilst the Honor 6 has a 13MP sensor with dual-LED flash but no OIS. Display, Hardware and Design The 5.0-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 294 ppi is bright, but it is very glossy and is prone to fingerprints. It offers vibrant colors and has decent viewing angles. It doesn't have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection like the Redmi 1S or the Motorola Moto E. It is curved in the corners and has huge bezels around the display, making it slightly wider at 72.3mm, compared to 70.7mm in the new Moto G smartphone. It looks premium even though it's a budget phone. There is an earpiece above the display, next to the 2-megapixel front-facing camera that supports video recording at VGA resolution. The usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors are present next to the camera. It also has an LED notification light that is hardly visible when it's ...
