Amazon is offering its Prime customers with unlimited cloud photo storage under a new service called as Prime Photos. Prime Photos accepts uploads from iOS and Android devices, Fire tablets and Fire phones, as well as Mac and Windows computers.
Prior to this only Amazon's Fire devices had the access to free storage.Prime Photos will allow users to securely store their existing photo collections, automatically upload new photos taken and access them anytime. Photos uploaded to its Cloud Drive are saved in their original version so customers never have to worry about losing the full-resolution image. The service also allows uploading of RAW files however, there is no mention of the video in a statement from Amazon.
All these Prime Photos can be accessed on PCs, tablets and phones as well as from Amazon’s Fire TV and new Fire TV Stick along with PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and select LG and Samsung smart TVs.

Panasonic has launched P55, the company's latest smartphone in P Series. It has a 6-inch HD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It ha sa 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support and has unique features such as Pop-i Player, Music Café and Gesture Play. It launched the P61 smartphone with a 6-inch display few months back.

Wally, a finance management app has launched on Android platform as Wally+. Available in beta the app allows users to keep a track of their expenses, specify monthly incomes, create budgets and so on.
The app which was launched on iPhone last year also helps user set saving goals and plan budgets. It will notify you whenever you have reached a certain saving goal or an important payment. When your location services are on, Wally will automatically identify and categorize the venue. Wally adapts to your preferences and behaviors by leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence.

LG has introduced G2 Lite (D295) and L Prime (D337) in Brazil. These new smartphones that are variants of L Fino and L Bello smartphones that were launched in India recently. The LG G2 Lite has a 4.5-inch WVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The L Prime has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1-megapixel front-facing camera. It has the same 5.2 (1440×2560 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Android 4.4 (KitKat). Since the launch of Three UK over 11 years ago, the network has been known for disrupting the status quo of the UK mobile market. Fast forward to the present day and whilst other networks offer capped data and 4G at a premium, Three UK offers unlimited 4G data and even allows you to use your UK allowances for free when roaming in selected countries around the world.
One of the most popular Three tariffs ever (and arguably across the whole market) was the One Plan tariff, which offered 2000 minutes, 5000 Three-to-Three minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data at a time when other networks were only offering data allowances up to 5GB. The original One Plan tariff allowed unlimited tethering as well but the introduction of Three 4G resulted in new One Plan customers being limited to either 2GB or 4GB tethering data but existing customers were still able to use unlimited 4G tethering.
Existing customers were only moved from their tariff when they specifically requested to do so and this meant if you were on a One Plan SIM only, you could (in theory) never make a change to your plan and always keep unlimited 4G tethering. However, Three has begun ...

Tired of having your smartwatch linked to your phone and waiting for the Samsung Gear S to land in the UK? The wait is almost over as Samsung have announced that the Gear S will be launching in the UK this Friday. Samsung Experience Stores and network partner O2 will both be offering the smartwatch which runs on Samsung's own proprietary platform and is only compatible with Samsung Galaxy handsets.
The Gear S is similar to other smartwatches but inherently unique as well - unlike other smartwatches, it can run independent of your smartphone thanks to the built-in 3G SIM card slot. Aside from its standalone abilities, the Gear S also offers a range of features including a dual-core 1GHz processor, Samsung S-Voice personal assistant, 4GB storage and 512MB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
There's also a plethora of sensors onboard including a Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Compass, Heart Rate Monitor, light sensor and barometer and Samsung claim that the 300mAh battery will last two days without needing a recharge. Vodafone UK have added Sky's NOW TV service to the list of content that Vodafone 4G customers can opt for as part of their contract. NOW TV will join Spotify, Sky Sports Mobile TV and Netflix as options available to customers in the UK.
From today, customers signing up to a Vodafone Red 4G tariff (either new or upgrading) can choose to add NOW TV in place of another benefit. The NOW TV bundle will offer deliver 13 TV channels and a large selection of TV box sets direct to your handset plus if you sign up before Christmas, you'll also get three months access to Sky Movies on NOW TV for free.

When it first came out, WhatsApp was being dubbed as the cross-platform sibling of BlackBerry Messenger but unlike the latter, WhatsApp didn't show you when your message had been read. However that has all changed with WhatsApp now displaying 2 blue ticks when your message has been read.
WhatsApp have updated their FAQ section and say:
What are those check marks next to my messages?
Check marks will appear next to each message you send. Here is what each one indicates:
message successfully sent.
message successfully delivered to the recipient's phone.
the recipient has read your message.
In a group chat, the second check marks will appear when all participants in the group have received your message. The two blue check marks will appear when all participants in the group have read your message.
The Message Info screen shows you who has seen your message and when.
You only see a single check mark next to your message, there is likely nothing wrong with WhatsApp or your phone. There may be several reasons why your message has been sent, but not delivered to your chat partner:

After the 5200mAh and the 10400mAh power banks, Xiaomi recently introduced 16000mAh Mi power bank in China.This has the same brushed aluminium finish on the outside, similar to the other Mi Power banks and is designed by Texas Instruments. Since it has more batteries, it is larger and weighs 350 grams.
It has a power button, battery level indicator, micro USB slot for charging the power bank and two standard USB slots for output that lets you charge two devices simultaneously. It offers 5.1V / 3.6A output. It has five 3200mAh batteries inside, manufactured by LG or Panasonic that offers energy density of 725 Wh/L. It says that the conversion rate of the power bank is 90%.
The 16000mAh Mi Power Bank is priced at 129 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 1300 / US$ 21 approx) and goes on sale on November 11th from TMall. It would be available at an introductory price of 99 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 1000 / US$ 16 approx.) on the launch day. Xiaomi has not announced any plans regarding the global roll out yet.

Google is adding Material Design features to all of its core app over the past few weeks and today it is updating Maps. Android and iPhone apps for Maps are getting a major overhaul along with few integrations and features.
The version 9.0 of Google Maps now feature bold colors and textures that enhances the overall look of the app. It also focuses on animations and brings maps closer to real locations.
"Over the next few days, when you open up Google Maps on your Android or iPhone, you’ll be greeted by bright colors and a fresh new design. This new look is all about creating surfaces and shadows that echo the real world; with Google Maps’ new material feel, layers and buttons come to life so you know just where to touch to get directions, recommendations and imagery."

A new malware called as "WireLurker" is targeting Mac and iOS devices has been discovered by researchers from Palo Alto Networks. The malware has already affected thousands of users in China.
The WireLurker malware collects call logs, phone book contacts and other sensitive information on Apple mobile devices. It is spreading through the Maiyadi App Store, a third-party source for OS X software in China. The WireLurker malware is said to have infected at least 467 OS X apps on the Maiyadi App Store, and those applications were downloaded at least 356,000 times.
WireLurker can install third-party applications on non-jailbroken iOS devices and can attack iOS devices through OS X via USB devices, said the researcher. The malicious code is believed to hide inside apps that users download from third-party Mac OS X app stores. It then infects other apps already running on the user’s desktop or laptop computer.
The researchers have advised users to refrain from downloading apps from third party stores and restrict the downloads to Apple App Store only. Moreover, users are also advised to avoid using USB-based chargers from unknown sources.

Dell has announced the Venue 11 Pro 7000 series tablet that is equipped with a Intel Core M processor. The tablet sports a 10.8-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display with a ten point capacitive touchscreen.
The tablet which is about 0.4 inches thick and weighs about 1.6 pounds and is designed to work with a range of docking stations including desktop and laptop-style docks. Venue 11 Pro offers a few configuration options, including 4GB or 8GB of DDR3 RAM, either 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of SSD storage, and Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro.
It has 2-megapixel camera front and 8-megapixel camera on the back and Dell has integrated adaptive noise cancellation for video calls. In case of connectivity, the Venue 11 Pro has a MicroSD card reader, one full size USB 3.0, a headphone and microphone combo jack, one Micro HDMI, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and a Sensor Hub, which contains gyro, G-sensor, and proximity sensors. The tablet supports 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and comes with an LTE option.
The Dell Venue 11 Pro 7000 will be available on November 11, starting at $699 in the US. There is no word about global rollout.

Motorola launched the new Moto X in India for Rs. 31,999 in September. We have already brought you the unboxing, benchmarks and review of the phone. Now here is a look at the hardware of the phone in this photo gallery.
The new Moto X sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974-AC) processor with Adreno 330 GPU. The phone has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
The 2MP front-facing camera with 1080p HD video is seen at the front along with the earpiece and speaker grill.
The three on screen touch buttons for home, back and menu are present at the bottom along with the loudspeaker grill.

Last week, WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum revealed that it has postponed the release of its voice calling feature till Q1 of 2015. Now, a couple of icons and screenshots of the voice call functions has been leaked.
The icons were leaked to the Dutch Droidapp by “anonymous sources”. They sport a flat and simple design. The first icon is for missed call, second one is to begin a call and third icon is to end a call. While fourth, fifth and sixth is for incoming and outgoing calls respectively. Finally, the last icon is for Active new call. A bunch of source code were also leaked that indicate the voice call features. These source code are available in Dutch, French and German languages as well.
Finally, a screenshot of the voice call feature is also leaked which only shows a green color header that reads "WhatsApp Call". As the feature is still in the making, the screenshot is just a product of a test version. Earlier in March, a screenshot of the voice calling feature had leaked which looks different from this one.

Wally, a finance management app has launched on Android platform as Wally+. Available in beta the app allows users to keep a track of their expenses, specify monthly incomes, create budgets and so on.
The app which was launched on iPhone last year also helps user set saving goals and plan budgets. It will notify you whenever you have reached a certain saving goal or an important payment. When your location services are on, Wally will automatically identify and categorize the venue. Wally adapts to your preferences and behaviors by leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence.

LG has introduced G2 Lite (D295) and L Prime (D337) in Brazil. These new smartphones that are variants of L Fino and L Bello smartphones that were launched in India recently. Since the launch of Three UK over 11 years ago, the network has been known for disrupting the status quo of the UK mobile market. Fast forward to the present day and whilst other networks offer capped data and 4G at a premium, Three UK offers unlimited 4G data and even allows you to use your UK allowances for free when roaming in selected countries around the world.

The wait is almost over as Samsung have announced that the Gear S will be launching in the UK this Friday. Samsung Experience Stores and network partner O2 will both be offering the smartwatch which runs on Samsung's own proprietary platform and is only compatible with Samsung Galaxy handsets.
The Gear S is similar to other smartwatches but inherently unique as well - unlike other smartwatches, it can run independent of your smartphone thanks to the built-in 3G SIM card slot. Aside from its standalone abilities, the Gear S also offers a range of features including a dual-core 1GHz processor, Samsung S-Voice personal assistant, 4GB storage and 512MB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

Gionee has officially launched the Marathon M3 smartphone in the Marathon series with a 5000mAh battery. When it first came out, WhatsApp was being dubbed as the cross-platform sibling of BlackBerry Messenger but unlike the latter, WhatsApp didn't show you when your message had been read. However that has all changed with WhatsApp now displaying 2 blue ticks when your message has been read.

After the 5200mAh and the 10400mAh power banks, Xiaomi recently introduced 16000mAh Mi power bank in China.This has the same brushed aluminium finish on the outside, similar to the other Mi Power banks and is designed by Texas Instruments. Since it has more batteries, it is larger and weighs 350 grams.
It has a power button, battery level indicator, micro USB slot for charging the power bank and two standard USB slots for output that lets you charge two devices simultaneously. It offers 5.1V / 3.6A output. It has five 3200mAh batteries inside, manufactured by LG or Panasonic that offers energy density of 725 Wh/L. It says that the conversion rate of the power bank is 90%.
The 16000mAh Mi Power Bank is priced at 129 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 1300 / US$ 21 approx) and goes on sale on November 11th from TMall. It would be available at an introductory price of 99 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 1000 / US$ 16 approx.) on the launch day. Xiaomi has not announced any plans regarding the global roll out yet.
Google is adding Material Design features to all of its core app over the past few weeks and today it is updating Maps. Android and iPhone apps for Maps are getting a major overhaul along with few integrations and features.
The version 9.0 of Google Maps now feature bold colors and textures that enhances the overall look of the app. It also focuses on animations and brings maps closer to real locations.

A new malware called as "WireLurker" is targeting Mac and iOS devices has been discovered by researchers from Palo Alto Networks. The malware has already affected thousands of users in China.
The WireLurker malware collects call logs, phone book contacts and other sensitive information on Apple mobile devices. It is spreading through the Maiyadi App Store, a third-party source for OS X software in China. The WireLurker malware is said to have infected at least 467 OS X apps on the Maiyadi App Store, and those applications were downloaded at least 356,000 times.
WireLurker can install third-party applications on non-jailbroken iOS devices and can attack iOS devices through OS X via USB devices, said the researcher. The malicious code is believed to hide inside apps that users download from third-party Mac OS X app stores. It then infects other apps already running on the user’s desktop or laptop computer.
The researchers have advised users to refrain from downloading apps from third party stores and restrict the downloads to Apple App Store only. Moreover, users are also advised to avoid using USB-based chargers from unknown sources.

Dell has announced the Venue 11 Pro 7000 series tablet that is equipped with a Intel Core M processor. The tablet sports a 10.8-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display with a ten point capacitive touchscreen.
The tablet which is about 0.4 inches thick and weighs about 1.6 pounds and is designed to work with a range of docking stations including desktop and laptop-style docks. Venue 11 Pro offers a few configuration options, including 4GB or 8GB of DDR3 RAM, either 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of SSD storage, and Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro.
It has 2-megapixel camera front and 8-megapixel camera on the back and Dell has integrated adaptive noise cancellation for video calls. In case of connectivity, the Venue 11 Pro has a MicroSD card reader, one full size USB 3.0, a headphone and microphone combo jack, one Micro HDMI, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and a Sensor Hub, which contains gyro, G-sensor, and proximity sensors. The tablet supports 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and comes with an LTE option.
The Dell Venue 11 Pro 7000 will be available on November 11, starting at $699 in the US. There is no word about global rollout.

Last week, WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum revealed that it has postponed the release of its voice calling feature till Q1 of 2015. Now, a couple of icons and screenshots of the voice call functions has been leaked.
The icons were leaked to the Dutch Droidapp by “anonymous sources”. They sport a flat and simple design. The first icon is for missed call, second one is to begin a call and third icon is to end a call. While fourth, fifth and sixth is for incoming and outgoing calls respectively. Finally, the last icon is for Active new call. A bunch of source code were also leaked that indicate the voice call features. These source code are available in Dutch, French and German languages as well.
Finally, a screenshot of the voice call feature is also leaked which only shows a green color header that reads "WhatsApp Call". As the feature is still in the making, the screenshot is just a product of a test version. Earlier in March, a screenshot of the voice calling feature had leaked which looks different from this one.
