Intex Technologies has launched Aqua Amaze, the latest smartphone in the Aqua series. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display based on one-glass-solution, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. These specifications are similar to the Aqua Star HD that was launched last month, but this has a 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor, instead of a 1.3GHz quad-core processor.
It comes pre-loaded with Opera mini, Zapak, OLX, WeChat, Saavn, Newshunt, Flipkart, Clean Master, Getit and more apps.

Songza, the music streaming service that was acquired by Google in July has been integrated into Play Music. Songza's key feature- contextual playlist that are pre set with activities like driving, working out or waking up are now added to Play Music.
Google Play Music subscribers will now see curated playlist based on mood, time of the day, activities and so on. In addition, users will also have the option to download the playlists for offline listening and they can even see what song is up next, and add, remove or re-order them according to your will.
Moreover, Play music now gets a revamped "Listen Now' section that makes music discovery easy with cards for recently played music, new release, radio stations and more. The Songza integration will allow you to create a new station based on any song in the mix. According to Google, "dozens" of experts, including DJs and ethnomusicologists, were employed to create the playlists in Google Play Music.

Motorola is rolling out new software update for its Moto 360 smartwatch. The latest Android Wear update v. 4.4W.2. brings a slew of features to the Moto 360.
For starters, the latest update brings a revamped UI that changes the look of the watch and makes it more classic. A new gesture now lets you see the full watch face without permanently dismissing a notification. Another important tweak in the latest update is a smart battery saving feature where, the watch turns an ambient mode when it hits 15%. Moto 360 will now include mood lighting while charging and offer more accurate time.

Toshiba has introduced Satellite Radius 11, a new tablet convertible laptop that sports an 11.6 inch display. Priced at $329.99, the 2-in-1 device can be converted to a tablet thanks to 2 hinges that rotates 360 degrees. The Satellite Radius 11 convertible laptop is powered by a Intel Celeron or Pentium processor. It features a 4GB RAM and comes in either 32GB of flash storage or a 500GB hard drive. Weighing less than 3 pounds, the device haa a sleek and slim fanless design with a patterned light gold finish. Running on Windows 8.1, other specs on the device include 1 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0, a full-size HDMI port and a microSD card slot. Microsoft has rolled out first update to Windows 10 Technical Preview under company's Windows Insider Program. This brings the Windows 10 Technical Preview to build 9860, an update from 9841 that was officially announced on September 30th.
The update is available to people running Windows 10 through the Windows Update method. Some of the main features of the recent update is the addition of Action Center for Windows PCs, apps that can be moved between monitors, and an animation for switching between desktops. Microsoft says that future builds will add more capabilities to the notification center, such as the ability to take actions in response to notifications like new emails and invites to IMs, Facebook posts and more. It also will add quick actions and cleaner UI.
"This is the first update build to Windows 10 Technical Preview, and we’ll continue to deliver more as part of the Windows Insider Program. Sometimes they’ll be more frequent and sometimes there will be longer gaps, but they will always be chock full of changes and improvements, as well as some bugs and things that are not quite done."

Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 went on sale in several Asian countries last month. Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the smartphone will launch in India later this week priced at Rs. 21,499 (MOP) and the MRP would be Rs. 24,300. It packs a 6-inch HD ( 1280 x 720 pixels) display, powered by a quad-core Cortex processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8MP auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 (SM-G750F) has 4G LTE Cat.4 support, but the Indian variant SM-G750H doesn't come with LTE support and has 1.2 GHz quad-core processor (might be Snapdragon 410) instead of a 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos processor. According to the import listing, it has Dual SIM support.

HTC Desire 820 mini has been leaked on the company's official website in China. The phone however, was soon taken down from the Chinese web store.
As per leaked specs, the Desire Mini 820 sports a 5 inch HD display and is powered by a quad core 1.2GHz processor. It has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 32GB via micro SD card slot. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the phone will have a 5MP front-facing camera and 8 MP rear camera. The phone also has front facing speakers and will support 3G, LTE and dual SIM.
The HTC Desire 820 Mini appeared on HTC’s website it was listed with a price of 1399 yuan, which is around $228. This makes the phone almost $100 cheaper than its big brother the original HTC Desire 820 that was announced at IFA in September and recently launched in India for Rs 24,990. There is no word from HTC regarding the launch but it looks like it will be scheduled soon.

Samsung introduced its flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 4 about a month ago and today, the company has announced three dual-SIM variants of its Note 4 phablet in China.
One of the dual-SIM Galaxy Note 4 versions is designed to work on China Telecom, while the other belongs to China Unicom. The South Korean manufacturer has also showcased a SIM-free model, which we expect to work outside the Chinese land.
The first SIM card on all the three versions will host LTE and guess what? It supports both TDD and FDD networks (Chinese and International bands). The second SIM is 2G only and will support 900/1800/1900MHz bands. You will have to use microSIM cards on both the slots.
The contact free version of the Galaxy Note 4 duos supports all the TDD LTE bands for both China Telecom and China Unicom. The China Telecom model offers 2G and 3G CDMA connectivity on the first SIM.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Alpha smartphone in India last week. We brought you the unboxing of the Galaxy Alpha recently, here we have the benchmarks. The Indian variant of the Galaxy Alpha is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 5430 processor based on ARM big.LITTLE architecture and 20nm High K Metal Gate Process technology, compared to 28nm HKMG in Exynos 5422 SoC present in Galaxy S5.
According to the specifications it has four ARM cortex A15 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz each and four ARM Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz each, but the CPU-Z shows that the A15 chip is clocked at 1.3GHz.
It has a ARM Mali T628 MP6 GPU. It also has True Octa-Core or Heterogeneous Multi-Processing that can run combination of up to eight cores to provide optimum performance. In a bid to boost global expansion, Xiaomi is migrating international user data outside of China. Data belonging to the privately owned company's non-Chinese users will be moved in several phases to Amazon Inc servers in the United States and data centres in Singapore.
"This migration process will be completed by the end of October and will benefit users in all of our international markets — Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan. Users are already experiencing website speed boosts of at least 30% in markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and as much as 200% in India."

Google has introduced Inbox, a new email app that is touted as an alternative and not a replacement to Gmail. Available on Android, iOS and the Web, main aim of the app is to sort and organize emails.
Inbox app has a feature called as Bundles" that groups emails by category this means that all emails related to one topic like bank details, fllights etc are neatly grouped together so that you can quickly review and then dismiss by swiping away. Moving on, the app includes “Highlights,” which makes it easier to find important emails. Another feature on the App is "Assists" that integrates real-time updates from the Web directly into email. If you make a restaurant reservation online, Inbox adds a map to your confirmation email and if you book a flight online, it gives a link to check-in.
Users can create Reminders that will alert them about various tasks and Snooze will let you dismiss both messages and Reminders temporarily. The app is therefore touted as a mixed between Mailbox and Google Now. The service will be available on the Web (Chrome only), iOS 7+ and Android 4.1+. Versions for tablets and other modern browsers are also in the works.

Yahoo has updated Mail app in order to bring travel and event notifications to your mobile. Updated for iPhone and Android, the app provides users with important travel information related to flight details.
The Mail app's Today section shows if your flight's been delayed or canceled and gives you directions to the airport. Users will also be able to call the airport from the event screen. The app further provides hotel recommendations and point of interests in the area along with photos and reviews. Additionally, similar cards for events will give you at-a-glance information for Evite, Eventbrite, and Ticketmaster events.
Yahoo also said the update includes the latest headlines with News notifications” that can be switched off in Settings. All of the new features are available in the U.S. only. The company has been constantly updating Yahoo mail app and last month it added filters to emails on Android and launched the app on iPad in July.

Microsoft has announced the release of two Android apps and one experimental Bing app for Android Wear devices. These apps have been designed by Microsoft employees under the Garage program.
The first app from the Microsoft Garage program is the "Next Lock Screen" app that surfaces information from various apps on the lock screen itself. Aimed at busy professionals, the app brings a feed of calendar appointments, missed calls, emails, SMS and a quick app launcher on the lock screen.

Second app is the "Journeys & Notes" that helps you keeps a log of your travel diaries and records travel movement by writing about important places visited during your trip. These notes then can be shared with other people that are present at the same location. Finally, the last app from the Microsoft Garage is "Torque" which is compatible only for Android Wear devices. The app replaces the need to say "OK Google" to your smartwatch and instead allows you to question by simply lifting your arm and twisting your wrist. It then generates result that is powered by Bing search.

Google has released a major update to Google Earth on Android by enhancing the 3D rendering technology. This is the biggest feature of the latest update that further highlights mountains, cities, rivers in the map.
"Starting today, you’ll see faster, smoother, and crisper transitions as you’re zooming into your dream destination in Google Earth. Thanks to a new 3D rendering technology—the first major 3D overhaul since Earth launched more than 10 years ago—sharper views of mountains and cities are just a virtual skydive away."

In addition, the Google Earth app will now receive basemap updates at the same time as Google Maps. This means that mobile devices will be updated with information like place names, roads, and businesses much faster than before. Finally,the latest update to the new Earth app for Android introduces support for opening KML files for custom maps directly from Google Drive.
The 3D views of top cities alon with a Tour Guide feature to highlight different must-see spots as you travel and optional layers from sources like Wikipedia to add more context are still available for the Earth app.

Twitter has introduced a new tool that allows users to log into apps using their phone number instead of user ID and password. The main aim of the service it enhance the security layer for users at the time of signing in.
The micro blogging site announced the Digits service at the ongoing Flight mobile developer conference. Digits enables users to sign in or sign up for mobile apps using phone number instead of traditional email. Users will have to simply enter a phone number, select a home country and enter a one-time passcode into the app that is sent to your mobile via SMS.
The service looks similar to the two step verification process that is currently offered by Twitter. Digits is aimed at emerging markets like Brazil, India and Indonesia where not everybody has an email account. The service has already been rolled out in 216 countries and 28 languages and is available for Android, iOS and web platform. It must be noted that users do not need a Twitter account in order to use the Digit service. At present apps like Fitstar, Resy and OneFootball are using the Digits tool.
