The Advanced Gaming Eyewear product, we unboxed a while ago, is specialized eyewear from Gunnar Optiks, an American company, entering the niche market here in India. Eyewear products are tricky, because the ones without prescription lenses tend to appeal more towards fashion than utility. Gunnar's products fall in the second category, utility, which is focused on the safety aspect. Their glasses help better the vision, or rather, compensate for the poor vision adjustments of our eyes, in specific conditions. One of them is gaming, for which Gunnar has designed this product. The eyewear, targeted at gamers who play for a long while in front of the PC, looks more stylish than the usual safety glasses that you see. With a clear yellowish tint for the glasses, the frame supporting it, sits comfortably on the face. Comfort is important for any eye wear product to not be a burden after a few hours, and we think the Gunnar eyewear pulls it off well. On wearing, the whole vision turns a shade of yellow, but the eyes then slowly adjust to a newer white. The difference is still apparent though, as everything you see has increased contrast. ...

Oppo N1 mini was launched last month as the mini variant of last year's Oppo N1 that retains the same 13-megapixel swivel camera. The Oppo N1 mini comes in a smaller package and is priced at Rs. 26,990 in India, slightly cheaper than the N1 that now retails for Rs. 32,990. We managed to compare the latest N1 mini and last year's N1 that was launched in India back in January. Check out the photo gallery below.
The Oppo N1 has a 5-9-inch 1080p screen, while the N1 mini comes with a 5-inch 720p screen. Both these have huge bezels around the display.
The Oppo N1 got the official CyanogenMod ROM last year, but the N1 Mini doesn't have official CyanogenMod ROM yet, and it runs on Color OS 1.4 based on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).
These have a similar design, including the design of the earpiece and the sensors.

Along with the Vibe X2 and Vibe Z2, Lenovo launched the TAB S8 at IFA, Berlin, 2014. TAB S8 is Lenovo's Intel based tablet that measures 7.9 mm thick and weighs 299 grams. The thin and light device is encompasses in a plastic matte body and has a simple design.

The tablet has a 8-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) full HD display based on one-glass-solution technology. It has pretty vibrant display with great brightness and contrast levels. The build of the tablet is also good with matte plastic case and has slim bezels around the edges. The back panel is of superior quality and does not leave fingerprint smudges.
At the back we have 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash with a metal ring surrounding for protection.
There is the Lenovo brand name in the middle and Intel inside logo at the lower end.
On the right we can see the metal power buttons and the volume rockers.
While there is flap on the left side that carries the SIM card and micro USB card slot.

Lenovo has launched the S5000, that company's latest tablet in India. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) wide-viewing angle display, powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Media Tek 8389 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), which is upgradable to Android KitKat in future. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera. The company claims that it is one of the world’s lightest and slimmest 7-inch tablet.
It comes with 3G SIM support for data connectivity on-the-go and packs a 3450 mAh battery. It was announced at IFA last year, and we went hands-on with the tablet at that time, check out the hands-on video below.

Huawei unveiled the Ascend Mate 7 at IFA, Berlin 2014 last week. The 6 inch phablet from the Chinese company was one of the most talked about launch of the IFA. LG announced the G Watch R last month and we got our hands of the smartwatch at the IFA, Berlin 2014. The latest smartwatch from LG sports a circular display encompassed in a stainless steel frame. LG has added a circular Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display to watch which the company claims that utilizes 100 percent of its watch face.

The first smartwatch from LG was the G watch that was powered by Android Wear but had a rectangular display with 1.65 inch IPS LCD. Meanwhile, the latest G Watch R 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display. The G Watch R is made from a combination of stainless steel and aluminium, with a plastic back. It is almost similar to a standard analogue watch but quiet a bit thicker.
The LG G Watch R comes with a genuine 22m leather belt that can be changed as per your choice. It is difficult to distinguish the smartwatch from an original watch by taking a mere glance.

Facebook Messenger for Android has received a cool update that allows users to edit photos before sending. With the latest update, users can draw and add text to photos before sharing them with your friends.
Users will see an edit option that shows a pencil after selecting the photo that needs to be sent. They can either select text to write over the photos using your finger or a stylus or they can simply draw on it. After editing the photo as per their choice, they will need to send the photo using the arrow button.
It must be noted that, for now the edit option in compatible with photos that are saved in your phone's media library and not for those taken from the inbuilt camera button of the Facebook Messenger app. There is no word on when the feature will be coming to iOS just yet. Doodling and adding text to photos has become a common trend in ephemeral messaging apps like Snapchat and even Facebook's very own Slingshot.

Gionee has released the KitKat update for its M2 smartphone in India, as it promised. Along with the Android 4.4′s features such as wireless printing, support for emojis and more, this update brings a new homescreen layout, Touchpal, Kingsoft Office and more, similar to other smartphones. It has also added three Indian languages.

The KitKat update for Gionee M2 is not available over-the-air (OTA. It available at selected service centres, and you can also follow instruction on the official Gionee forum and flash the new firmware manually. It doesn't erase your data, however Gionee asks you to backup your data before flashing.
WhatsApp Messenger had added a slew of feature for iPhone for a better chatting experience. Firstly, the app adds the ability to archive chats and groups. They can be archived by simply swiping horizontally in the chats section and selecting the More and Archive option.
Moving on,the new WhatsApp version 2.11.9 now makes it a lot easier to capture and send photos with a new fast camera access button in the interface. Slow motion videos from iPhone 5s can also be shared in the latest version and also video trimming support is added to the app.
The update further improves location-sharing with the option to choose whether your position is displayed with a satellite or hybrid map. Samsung SM-A500 had first leaked last month when reports suggested that the company is working on A series of smartphones that will include three devices viz' the SM-A300, SM-A500 and SM-A700. These smartphones will feature same design as the recently announced Galaxy Alpha.
Today, SamMobile is touting that Samsung will launch the SM-A500 that will boast of full metal body with removable back cover. Moving on the report states that the phone will have 5 inch (1280×720) Super AMOLED display and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. Other specs include 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear and front-facing cameras, 16GB of internal storage and support for microSD card slot. Finally, it will have a 2,330mAh non removable battery.
The SM-A500 will not be dust and water resistant. From the aforementioned specifications it looks like the SM-A500 will be a mid range phone that has a premium look and feel owing to full metal body.

Asus has unveiled the VivoTab 8, the company's latest 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet. Asus unveiled a 8-inch Windows 8 tablet called VivoTab Note 8 with a similar 8-inch HD display earlier this year at the CES, but the this doesn't have a Wacom Digitizer Stylus like the VivoTab Note 8. The processor has been upgraded to 1.86GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 chip, compared to the Atom Z3740 on the VivoTab Note 8. It is 8.8mm and weighs 330 grams.
It has dual speakers and is designed for note-taking since it is light, says Asus. The company would sell MagSmart Cover, Carry Me Cover, folio cover and a keyboard separately. It comes in 1GB or 2BG RAM variants depending on the county and packs 32GB of internal storage with expansion slot.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 6 at an event later today. There were several rumors about Apple's upcoming flagship smartphones, now Cult of Mac has posted detailed specifications of the iPhone 6 that they received from China. According to the leak, the iPhone 6 would be water-resistant and have shatterproof body.
According to the leak both the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus models would feature sapphire screens. The 4.7-inch iPhone will have a 1GB RAM and 1,810 mAh battery, and the 5.5-inch iPhone is rumored to feature a 2,915mAh battery and 2GB RAM. There is mention of dual-core A8 chip.
