Twitter has finally updated its Windows Phone app with some enhancements related to photos. The micro blogging site has updated the app nearly after seven months as it was last updated in November 2013. Users can now upload multiple photos to a single tweet however, GIF support is still not added to the app which is quiet a bummer. The update also adds the ability to reply, favorite and retweet from users timeline. In addition  preview of the shared content like  vine videos, images, etc are now visible in the timeline. In addition, users can tag their friends in photos and start a conversation and also share photos via direct message. Minor tweaks to the UI is also seen as Twitter has increased the header size which now looks huge and disproportionate. Twitter has been putting more focus on Android and iPhone apps for a long time and had ignored the Windows app. You can download Twitter for Windows Phone from Windows Phone Store here

Google removes multiple Google Play Edition devices from Play Store

Google has taken down multiple Google Play Edition devices from the Play Store. Devices like Sony Xperia Z Ultra, LG G Pad 8.3 and HTC One (M7) were taken down from the device section of the Play Store. These handsets along with Samsung Galaxy S4 were out of inventory for some time before they were officially taken down today. HTC One M8 and Moto G are still available on the Play Store while the Galaxy S4 is shown as out of inventory and it is expected that it will be taken down soon. While a Google Play edition of the Galaxy S5 has been rumored for quite sometime there has no strong evidence about the handset that has leaked or surfaced online. Generally, phones with a successor are taken down from the store and hence we saw Google take down the HTC One M7 as it has a successor M8. However, it is not clear why Google has taken down Google Play Edition Xperia Z Ultra and LG G Pad 8.3 as these were launched on the Store mere seven months back. Even the Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition got a price cut recently. Does this mean these phones have not garnered enough popularity? Via:Android Police

The Xiaomi Mi3 we reviewed yesterday, has been officially priced in India for Rs. 14,999. The phone comes with a 5 inch 1080p screen and a minimalistic design and build wraps around the display to bring forth a solid device. While we discussed about its design, build and ergonomics in our review, we find it apt that the device receive a separate photo walkthrough without too much of text coming in the way. So, here you go, a separate photo gallery for the Xiaomi Mi3, which, in case you are planning to get one, could be helpful. The black variant looks dark and stealthy which is a good thing. However, it does look like a Nokia N9 without the curved back. The body is a single piece of matte plastic that tends to gather a lot of fingerprints and smudges over the period of use. The Mi logo is made visible on the front as well as the back, and it's flashy, with a gloss that reminds us of the Apple logos on the back of iPhones. If the design wasn't enough, even the buttons are styled to look like the N9. The attention to detail is very interesting on the Mi3, as it has ...

Google rolls out workaround for the paid app Android Wear bug

Yesterday, there were reports that paid apps are not working properly on Android Wear devices. Now, it looks like Google has taken the issue in their hands and released a workaround. Under this workaround paid app makers are required to manually package files differently. "The assets/ directory of those apps, which contains the wearable APK, cannot be extracted or read by the wearable installer. The workaround is to place the wearable APK in the res/raw directory instead", said Google on the Android developer blog. Google offers a four-step guide on how to manually package paid apps, and Google says it will issue an update to the SDK build tools that will remove the need for the workaround. The company is accepting that it a temporary workaround and not a final solution for the problem. Google Play Store added a dedicated Android Wear app section last week that has about 25 apps from various categories ranging from health, social, games etc. Currently LG G watch and Samsung Gear Live are the two smartwatches that are running on Android Wear.
