Samsung ditched Andriod for Tizen as a platform for their smartwatch and introduced two variants - Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. Samsung has made available the Tizen SDK for Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo for developers and they can access it from https://developer.tizen.org/.
Since the Tizen SDK has now been made open, Samsung expects the *active* Tizen community to start developing apps for the smartwatch platform. In the press release Samsung also highlighted some of the already available applications. These applications when combined with Samsung's wearable technology are expected to provide a unique user experience in fitness, shopping, social media, music, news, and sleep management.

AOC India has launched two new multi-touch Full HD monitors for PCs. The i2272PWHUT (21.5”) and i2472PWHUT (23.6”) WLED-backlit monitors have 1920x1080 pixel resolution IPS screen with 178-degree wide viewing angles and 10-point multi-touch input. These have adjustable stand offers 60 degree lean back experience, has built-in speakers, microphone and a 720p HD webcam for video conferencing. These are also Windows 8 certified.
These have two HDMI ports with MHL function to connect smartphones and tablets with MHL support, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports. It has a VGA port and one of the two USB 3.0 ports can be used to charge mobile devices.

Streaming devices are becoming a thing as Roku's streaming stick and Google's Chromecast have seen considerable success. It looks like Amazon could enter the streaming market with a dongle just like the aforementioned units. Right after Google announced that Android is coming to wearables with Android Wear, Motorola has brought itself to the fore of this new Android Wear ecosystem by announcing its first Smartwatch - the Moto 360. As you might have guessed from the name, the Moto 360 has a circular display, which is a first for smartwatches. Android Wear marks an interesting development in the smartphone, although this has been rumoured for quite a while now. Close on the heels of the announcements from Google for Android Wear and Motorola's Moto 360 Smartwatch, LG has announced that it will actually be making the first smartwatch powered by the new wearables platform. The LG G watch, as it is called, will be the first smartwatch to release to the market, powered by Google's Android Wear platform. LG and Google have apparently worked on this device together, right from design, just like a Nexus product. The details of the LG G watch have not been revealed yet, but the availability is set to the second quarter of 2014.
While the design looks uninspiring, especially after the announcement of the Moto 360, the biggest takeaway here is that this watch will be the launch vehicle for Android wear and if LG is to be believed, this will also be a cheap product that is accessible to developers. Karbonn is all set to launch the Titanium Hexa, the company’s first phone powered by a hexa-core processor. The phone has appeared on the official website and packs a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) LTPS (Low temperature polysilicon) type display, powered by 1.5 GHz hexa-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and packs a 2050 mAh battery. Detailed specifications of the phone such as RAM and memory are not available yet. Karbonn today launched Titanium Octane and Titanium Octane Plus smartphones with MediaTek MT6592 Octa-core chips along with the Titanium Hexa. The Karbonn Titanium Octane has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display and the Octane Plus has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD IPS display. Both these smartphones run on the Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. The Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus would compete with the recently launched Micromax Canvas Knight A350 that has similar features.
The Karbonn Titanium Octane has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and the Octane Plus has a 16-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. HTC has not yet launched its flagship device of this year, but we know it is just a week away before it launches the all new HTC One. In the meantime, HTC is also preparing a midrange Desire series smartphone. HTC had introduced the Desire 816 at MWC 2014 earlier this year and now plans to unveil the Desire 516.
The Desire 516 was approved by Chinese authorities today and PhoneArena has managed to get a few photos of the device. The HTC Desire 516 weighs around 173 grams and measures 140 x72 x 9.7 mm. The HTC Desire 516 comes with a 5inch qHD display. According to PhoneArena, the device will come in two variants - Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, quad-core 1.3GHz CPU, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front-facing camera, and only 512MB of RAM and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM.
Earlier this year, HTC had announced they wanted to concentrate on the mid range and entry range market and from the looks of it, the Desire 516 looks to be in that range. We will have more information for you as soon as we have it.
